Description
High-Performance Torque Converter. The B&M Holeshot 3800 Torque Converter for THM400 Automatic Transmission is engineered to optimize acceleration by launching vehicles at higher RPMs where torque is maximized. It is ideal for vehicles with engine modifications, including those with big cams that reduce low-end torque. This makes it a perfect upgrade for racers and performance enthusiasts who want quicker launches and improved overall performance.
Construction and Appearance. Made from durable steel, this converter features a furnace brazed impeller and turbine and a precision steel alloy pump drive tube for strength and longevity. Heavy duty needle bearings are placed between the stator and impeller as well as the stator and turbine to ensure smooth operation. Anti-balloon plates increase durability to handle instant horsepower from nitrous systems. The entire assembly is fully balanced and pressure tested for reliable performance.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and designed to fit GM THM transmissions without requiring drilling or modifications. It is a direct bolt-on replacement that maintains factory flexplate compatibility, simplifying the installation process.
Application. Specifically fits 1976 to 1979 Jeep CJ7 models. This converter is engineered to provide enhanced performance for these vehicles, supporting their original transmission configurations and operating parameters.
