Description
Suspension Enhancement. The BDS Glide-Ride Front Leaf Spring for 2.50-Inch Lift is designed to improve ride height and handling on Jeep CJ5 and CJ7 models from 1976 to 1983 and 1976 to 1986 respectively. This lift spring is ideal for off-road trails, towing, or everyday driving by providing increased suspension travel and reducing axle wrap for superior control and comfort.
Construction and Appearance. Featuring a triple-stage, multi-leaf progressive spring rate design, these leaf springs are engineered with tapered and roll-pointed leaves that enhance flexibility and ensure smooth deflection. The assembly includes bolt-style leaf alignment clamps and anti-friction pads for quieter operation. Measuring 42.5 inches in length, these springs do not include bushings, which must be purchased separately.
Installation. Installation requires moderate mechanical skill and can typically be completed within 1 to 2 hours. The springs fit directly using existing mounting points without the need for drilling.
Application. Specifically designed to fit Jeep CJ5 models from 1976 through 1983 and Jeep CJ7 models from 1976 through 1986, providing a precise 2.5-inch lift for the front suspension. Bushings are not included and must be sourced separately.
