How to Install Barricade Spare Tire Delete w/ Licence Plate Mount on your Wrangler

Start by removing the spare tire. Remove the rubber spare tire bumpers. Remove the 3rd brake light grommet from the vehicle and unclip the plug. Remove the (8) bolts holding the factory spare tire mount to the vehicle.


Once the factory mount is out of the way, use a small screw driver or panel removal tool to apply downward pressure the on the tabs highlighted above. To remove, push down and pull the vent off the vehicle.


Install the Spare Tire Delete back plate by loosely installing the factory bolts in the holes circled above. Install the (2) small grommets in the factory spare tire bumper mount locations, and the large grommet where you disconnected the factory 3rd brake light.


Install your license plate on the outer bracket off the car for ease of installation. Use the (4) Allen head bolts, washers and lock nuts included. **Note: License plate is installed backward for photo purposes only.


Install the lisence plate braket on top of the back plate. With the bolts loose, align the brackets so that they are flush with each other on the top and bottom. Then tighten all bolts.
