Tips:

Install on flat level ground. Do one side at a time. Using penetrating oil may help to break bolts free on older or rusty vehicles. Always torque to factory spec and re-torque after a few hundred miles. These rock sliders will fit over stock RubiRails.

Installation Instructions:

1. Remove two (2) 18mm body mount bolts using the breaker bar and socket (an impact gun or ratchet will speed this step up). Bolts can be easily identified by their large grey washers

2. Insert the bolts into the rails. Due to the thickness of the coating the washers may not want to fit. You can motivate them by hitting them with the side of the breaker bar (or a hammer).

3. Apply some blue (semi-permanent) thread locker to the threads.

4. Line the rail up with body mount holes and install the two (2) 18mm body mount bolts to finger tight. The side of the rail with the shortest overhang should face forward.

5. Torque each of the bolts to factory spec (80 ft*lbs) in an in several intermittent steps while alternating between bolts. Do not torque one bolt fully then torque the other fully. Warning: These bolts are tapered; if you crank one down all the way first and then attempt the other you may strip out the threads.

6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 for opposite side of the Jeep to complete the install.
7. Enjoy your new Rock Sliders!
