I'm thinking of the Barricade Rivet style finder kit for my 2004 wrangler TJ but am concerned that they will not cover the lines caused by the factor finders they are replacing. Do you have a better suggestion? Something that looks similarly aggressive but covers the original paint line better. Can I return them if they do not caver well?

        • The Barricade Rivet Style Fender Flares should fit the same way that your factory flares do, including covering up the paint lines.

Will these fenders fit over the Barricade corner guards that wrap around past the fenders?

        • Yes, the fender flares can work in conjunction with the corner guards.

            2006 wrangler

I bought these for my daughters Jeep because the wider tires would not pass our PA inspection. Installation was not bad. The hardest part was removing the stock flares. One minor issue was on one of the stone guards / extension piece, one of the holes was not lining up. I just drilled another hole, and is was all good.

Instructions were of the type associated with Chinese diagrams. Though the fenders fit correctly as advertised, it took quite a bit of head scratching to figure out a method for attaching them.

            Not perfect; not bad

These were simple enough for a non-auto inclined person to install however both rear fender flares did not cover the stock lines in the paint. All flares lined up with existing bolt patterns EXCEPT rear passenger. I've got an exposed hole visible now. Good look but disappointed that they don't line up for the money spent.

Easy install and fits great! Hardest part, is getting the led ones off the vehicle.

            2005 tj

Just spent the afternoon installing. Not a perfect fit. Hard brittle plastic. Hardware is not good. Had numerous customer service shipping issues or I would of bought another brand.

Was not super satisfied with the product. The hardware was cheap and the kit came with not enough trim to even finish the 4 large fenders. Customer service was excellent and sent me more but I still was not satisfied with the fit or look, especially for the money.

            Good but not great

Good overall product but hardware was really cheesy. I upgraded to larger hex head stainless hardware and it look much better than the plastic hardware. Also the instructions were terrible as they were a copy of a copy of a copy from years ago and you couldn't see any pics with "important" details.

            2003 Jeep Wrangler install

Well made so I'm pleased with the quality. The front Barricade fender kit fit perfect. No lines from the stock fender and the bolts whole were perfect. The rear were very close but not perfect. I started installing the screws from the front to the rear, leaving all of them loose. The very last rear screw did not fit. I couldn't see the hole in the fender to put the threaded screw through so I used a rat tail file to move the hole in the plastic fender. It wasn't difficult but something I would have rather not done. I used an oversize washer on the screw to keep it the fender secure to the jeep body. The rear fender did not cover the same area as the original fender, so a line will be seem. 1/8" inch all around showing from new fender compared to the stock fender. All in all, I'm still satisfied with the purchase. As stated previously, they are made well and at a good price. I'd purchase them again if needed. One last note, save your old screws and reuse them because they are much better than what comes in the kit. Phillips screws just don't cut it and I don't think they were stainless. ?? Torx screws came with my jeep as original screws and are stainless steel. Very good quality so put them back in.

            Fender flare quality ok.

I have a 2006 TJ. Even though the flares are listed as an exact fit they are not. I had to redrill holes for the front and rear flares on the driver side. The flares also don't cover the same surface area of the stock flares so you can see where the back flares used to be on the Jeep. Lastly, the little black caps are more than a pain and are really cheap. I had 9 caps come in disfigured, so they don't fit well at all and keep coming off. I cannot go back to the stock flares because they were so worn out. Working with what I have. These flares do look better because they are new. I am going to replace all the hardware with black screws and washers which will get rid of the cap problem.

            Very good choice

I find this flare to be almost everything I had hoped it would be. The plastic is strong and has stood up well. It adds just the right amount of aggression to the look of my jeep without going overboard. It was also very easy to install myself. It lines up perfectly with the holes from the original flares. My only negative is the plastic rivet caps. I was worried they'd look fake but luckily they do look real and cool however, as I was afraid when putting them on, I've already had two fall off and now they no longer match the others. I even super glued all of them on because I figured this would be a problem. I'll be looking into replacement caps but wish there was a more secure way (or that the actual screws just had a more impressive look to them.) Overall, incredibly happy and would definitely recommend this brand and style to anyone else.

            Good buy!

The fenders look great and bolted up without any issues. Only complaint is rear fenders do not match same outline that the factory fender did. So there is a line where factory fenders rubbed paint. They still look and work great.

Great flares ..... but screws and caps

You can't beat these for the price, They are a nice deep black. The only problem I have are the screws and cap. They seem flimsy I was expecting Hex bolts but I got Phillips bolts. Other than that they are pretty sweet!

I like the look of the installed flares

once through the tear out of the old flares things went pretty smoothly. I used red lock tite on the bolts. the covers for the bolt heads gave me a small problem, I found if you center the covers as you tighten the bolts they close better and not over tightening them helps as well

Great product. Just one little issue.

The quality and price was fantastic. The only thing I didn't like were the mounting screw covers. The were a plastic snap cover that hides the stainless steel mounting bolt heads. The covers are made to look like hex head bolts. I am sure by the end of this summer those plastic cap heads will pop off. Thinking about replacing with aftermarket true black anodized hex head bolts.
