Hi, I bought my Jeep with these exact Fenders but I've noticed lately that the finish is starting to chip away where my hood clasps connect to it and a very large area has been exposed and there is a lot of rust/corrosion underneath and it's very unflattering, a huge eye sore every time I walk by. Worst instructions ever

So the fenders came on time per Extreme Terrain’s estimate and were wrapped nicely. No damage was present on them. There were no instructions included. I found a PDF in the questions and answers section of the product. Those weren’t much better than having none. This turned into “trim, test fit, repeat”. Once I got it on and mounted, they are very stout and look great. Still have the pssenger side to do. I’m glad this isn’t the first pair of tube fenders I’ve installed as the instructions are not helpful at all.

      Flat fenders

I love the fenders. They look great and the vent does really help keeping it cooler in the engine bay. Im not going to lie the first side took forever! This was a two day job, defiantly take the time to make a template to trace on the fender before cutting, and then once you do some final trims retrace the template. I got an electric auto body saw from harbor fright and it did help a lot. The second side took 2 hours after I spent about 9 hours on the first side. read the directions and cut the right sections and you will accomplish this project!

      Great Product, Poor Directions

Overall I'd definitely recommend this product. However, be prepared to devote an afternoon to a full day to get these on. Based off of the previous reviews I probably should have looked further into what an involved process it would be to install these things. They came and I got super excited and figured I could get the fenders mounted in a couple hours. Definitely took a couple hours and then some. The instructions are pretty vague as to what to cut, and my buddy and I found the measurements to maybe not be as accurate as necessary to get the fenders to line up right the first time. After some cutting, fitting, and more cutting though I will say I love how sturdy the fenders are and how they look. Any fit/finish issues all pertain to the directions and the acutal fenders are awesome.

      Nice and easy.

I wish they would include instructions on how to install. Installing wasn't that bad. You do need to cut the battery tray and do some trimming which they do not show on the video. But overall it is not that difficult.

The fenders looks great! Install was slightly difficult due to cutting the existing fender, but once you do one side, the other is easy.

Great fenders for the price with great quality.

Easy install look great and amazing quality. The only thing I wish it would have came with is a gold out diagram of where to cut fender back to. If I had not done them before I would have not known where to cut fender back to.

      front fender

Directions are not detailed as far as extra cutting of battery plate etc, also the tube part closest to windshield does not have space to tuck cut fender under. so the last 8 inches has to be dealt with creatively. Bob

Awesome fenders!! Made the Jeep look badass, with more front headroom. Took about 2 1//2 hours for each one (if you know how to do body work) only downfall is there's no instructions and no outline for cutting.

      Coating and hardware is cheap

The product is built great, they bolt up nicely but you do have to destroy your factory fenders by cutting them off. If you’re looking for something that you could possible undo in the future this is not for you. The hardware is not the best, the problem is not with the construction on the product more so with the lack of instruction, the fact that the coating comes already chipped and falling off and the hardware is cheap. The first sign of moisture and I had rust everywhere from cheap hardware and exposed metal from the flaking coating which looks to be paint. The coating(paint) isn’t even covered in the seams so there is rust in every seam in every part.
