Hey, guys. So, today, we're checking out the Barricade Rocker Body Decal, fitting all 1997 to 2006 TJ Wranglers, excluding those Unlimited models. Now, if you're looking for a very easy and affordable way to give your Wrangler a more custom look, this vinyl option by Barricade is going to be a great choice to take a look into. So, this is gonna be a really good choice for somebody who's just looking to add a little bit of contrast to their Wrangler or is even just looking for more of a custom look. And this is also great if you already have damage, or paint damage, or scratches down on this rocker area from crawling around on the trail, or even just driving around in the street from any rock kickup, and want to cover that up very affordably. Now, this is going to be made of a 23-mil vinyl material. It is going to be a copolymer material, so it is going to last a long time if installed properly on your rocker area. Now, this is gonna come with both the driver and the passenger side and is going to be in a rubberized texture black material. Now, that texture black finish is just going to add more of a heavy-duty look to the side of your Wrangler and is going to match with any other texture black accessories that you already have mounted up.Now, as far as price goes, this is again going to be very affordable at roughly $40 for the kit. Now, this is going to be a little bit different than some other options, considering that it does have that rubberized textured black finish, where a lot of other vinyl is just more or less going to be a matte black vinyl or a colored vinyl that's gonna be smooth to the touch. So, this does stand out in that department, and it also is going to match with any of the other Barricade options when it comes to that texture black finish. They also do have a couple of other choices for different body parts of your Wrangler if you're looking to protect or even cover up any damage or add a custom look to any other pieces like the fender or the cowl. Now, again, I think if you're looking for something that is going to stand out and is going to add a custom look to your Wrangler while being functional in the meantime, then this is a really good choice to take a look into. So, install is gonna be very easy, really anybody can do it. I'm gonna give it a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. You're gonna need a couple of basic hand tools to get the job done because we do have to tuck the vinyl in between our fender here. But enough from me, let's hop into the install. The tools that I used for my install were a bottle of soapy water, a 0.25-inch drive ratchet, an 8-millimeter socket, a rag, a squeegee, and a straightedge or a razor blade. So, our first step is to remove the two bolts on the inner fender. Now, I'm gonna use an 8-millimeter socket, but it may depend depending on your hardware. So, I'm starting up at the front. All right. I'm also going to remove the one above it, just so we can have enough room to pull this away from the body and tuck our vinyl underneath. All right. So, now, we can pull the fender away, and we can do the same thing for the rear. So, we can repeat that same process in the rear with the bottom two bolts. So, for the rear, I just took out the bottom bolt. We will be able to pull the fender away enough to squeeze our vinyl in. However, if you would like to take off this top bolt as well, you can do that to make it a little bit easier. So, what you wanna do first is just make sure where we're sticking the vinyl is clean. So, I just wiped it down with some soap and water. Then, I'm gonna take that same mix of soapy water and just soak the area so we can lay down the vinyl, push it where we want it, and then we can squeegee the water out. All right. We can peel back one of pieces of vinyl. Line it up the Jeep, put it where we want it. So, there are holes in the vinyl, which you can line up with that bottom bolt. And then, once it is level with the body of the Jeep, we can take our squeegee and a rag and squeegee out the water. So, I'm gonna make a cut between our quarter panel and the body of our Jeep. So, after you've cut right at the line there, then you can lay down the vinyl a little bit better. So, now that our vinyl is on, we can reinstall our bolts in our fenders. So, after you've tightened down both fender bolts, what you can do is repeat that process on the other side, and then you'll be all set to go. So, that's gonna wrap it up for my review and install. Make sure you like and subscribe. And for more videos and products like this, always keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
