This is my review and installation of the Barricade custom seat covers in black with pockets, fitting all 1997 to 2006 TJs. The installation of these seat covers is a very simple one out of three-wrench install that you'll be able to get done in a half an hour or less. Of course, these are just going to slide right over those factory seats. But we'll talk more about that in just a second. When it comes to seat covers, you have a couple different options. There are some that are pretty much just a terry cloth towel that attach to your headrest and will drape over the seat. There are others that don't really cover the full seat in the front, but give you the ability to store a lot of gear on the back of the seat, and of course those are going to be more functional for gear storage than they are for protection or changing the look of your interior. There are, of course, neoprene seat covers, which are going to be a little bit more water-resistant and a little bit of a heavier material. Then, there's something like this, which is going to be a cotton seat cover that's designed to protect your seat, cover up a damaged seat, and also change up the interior look of your vehicle, all while being a little bit less expensive than those neoprene seat covers that are available. Now, these are going to do a nice job of, again, changing the look of your interior, protecting and covering up some damage, but these are not going to be water-resistant in the way neoprene is. While these do have a pocket on the backside of them for storing some small items, they're not going to give you the full storage capacity of some of those other seat covers. These seat covers are made of a durable polycotton blend, and they're going to come with all of the straps, buckles, and Velcro that you're going to need to get these attached onto your factory seats, nice and tight so they're not going to have any wrinkles, and so they're going to look good, all while not moving around while you're getting in and out of the Jeep. Again, to get these installed is a very simple one out of three-wrench installation. All you'll need to do is slide the bottom section of the seat cover over the bottom section of the seat, making sure that any adjustment handles come out of the holes that are cut in the seat covers specifically for those handles. After that, you'll use the straps and buckles to make sure that everything stays nice and tight on the bottom section of the seat. From there, you can slide the top section of the seat cover for the backrest portion of the seat overtop, go ahead and pull all of those straps and buckles tight, and you're finished. Again, not much to it at all. Any seat cover is going to be a fairly easy install. If anything, these might be a little bit tight to get installed. But that's a good thing. The tighter the seat cover is, the better it's going to look. So in about a half an hour, you'll be able to get these stretched over your factory seats. A set of these seat covers is going to come in at right around $125, a little bit more for the rear seat cover. Of course, that's one larger seat cover versus the fronts. But if you are looking for a set, you can get into a whole set of these covers for less than $300, which is a pretty good deal in my opinion. You are going to get a seat cover that, again, is going to give your seats that protection, it's going to cover up any existing damage, and it's going to change up the look of your interior, all while being less expensive than some of those neoprene covers that are on the market. Of course, if you are looking for the thicker material and the water-resistance of a neoprene seat cover, we have those available as well. So whether you're looking for a seat cover because you want to change up the look of your interior, protect your existing seats, or cover up some existing damage, without paying to have your seats recovered, these are going to be a nice option that are less expensive than some of the others available. So that's my review of the Barricade custom seat covers in black with pocket, fitting all 1997 to 2006 TJs that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.
