Great look, probably not worth the money
I really love having the doors off my jeep when the weather is nice, but my family does not share that opinion, ha. I got these doors because I really like that safari look, and when paired with the mesh covers, it allows me to have that open-air feel without my family being scared of having the doors off.
When I got the doors, they came well packaged, and included all the necessary parts for installation. The installation was very simple and the only slightly complex part was aligning the door clasp with the door-frame catch. One of the doors did have a bent pin where the door seats with the jeep door-frame hinge. A couple of the doors did not smoothly glide into the door-hinges and required so back-and-forth with downward pressure to get fully seated on the door-hinge. Further, the two front doors both had an issue where the door clasp component was not able to line up correctly with the door-frame latch. This made the doors extremely difficult to open and close because you had to really wedge the door closed tightly to get it to clasp the latch.
After talking about the issue with Customer Support they sent me a replacement set for the front doors. The replacement set did resolve the bent pin issue, and they both did have a better fit, where the latch could be set to visually line up with the clasp, however it was still difficult to open and close both of the doors properly. None of the doors (front or rear) fit like a glove within the door-frame and I already have paint streaks along the inside of the door tubing where the miss-alignment causes excessive rubbing to occur.
Long story short, even with the poor fit, I still think that the doors look great with that open-air safari look, and my family likes them on the jeep versus having no doors at all, so all-in-all they met my initial need. I do feel, however, that after spending over $500 on the doors and over $300 on the door skins, I do have some buyers remorse because given the cost, I expected the look/feel of the doors to be great but I also expected to have a perfect fit with little to no adjustment necessary and little to no miss-alignment present, meaning that opening and closing the doors would have little to no resistance, such that it would be simple enough for my wife and kids to open/close on their own. But that is not the case.
The doors are large and shipping back and forth is a pain for defective products, so I've chosen to accept the quality of my existing set, because in the end, I do really want the doors, but I was fearful that the replacement set would be a worse fit and I would be stuck in a loop of shipping doors back and forth until I found an adequate set. And at least with the ones I have now I can open and close them albeit with some effort. That's probably not a good place to land when spending that kind of money, but at least they look nice!!
