How to Install Baja Designs Squadron Sport Flush Mount LED Light - Flood/Work Beam on your Wrangler

WIRING

The two wires from the back of the Baja designs light terminate with a sealed weather-pack connector(LOCKING TAB ON TOP). The white wire in the connector's "B" position attaches to a switched DC positive hot lead, the black wire in the "A" position attaches to ground. The corresponding mates to these connectors have been supplied for your convenience.

As with any electrical accessory, Baja Designs lights must have circuit protection (fuse or circuit breaker.)

To determine the correct rating for your circuit protection, divide the sum of the wattage being drawn on the circuit (total in watts) by the battery/charging system voltage. This number is the total number of amps (current) that circuit draws. Use circuit protection that is rated between 5-10 amps higher than the total current draw. If you are using switches with a lower current rating than the lighting draw, a relay is required. On HID versions, each HID bulb draws approximately 10 amps on start-up, and then stabilizes to approximately 3.5 amps in about 8-10 seconds.

Note that Baja Designs offers a complete pre-fabricated universal wiring harness complete with relay that is designed to safely switch two La Paz, Fuego, or LED Single lights. See the "optional accessories" list at the back of this manual.
