How To Install an ARB Stubby Bull Bar Front Bumper on your 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK; 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL

Tools Required
  • 13mm Socket
  • 17mm Deep Socket
  • 18mm Deep Socket
  • 14mm Combination Wrench
  • Flat Head Screwdriver
  • Phillips Head Screwdriver
  • Small Pry bar (optional)
  • Ratchet or Flex Head Ratchet (preferred)
  • 6” Socket Extension
  • 10” Socket Extension
  • Universal Socket (if not using a flex head ratchet)
  • Torque Wrench
  • 5lb Hammer

Installation Instructions 

1. Remove two no pressure retaining screws from front bumper fascia plate with either a screw driver or pry bar if you don't plan on reusing the stock hardware. 


2. Remove four no pressure retaining screws from stock front skid plate with a Phillips head screwdriver or pry bar if you dont plan on reusing the stock hardware. 



3. Remove two no pressure retaining screws from stock front skid plate hangers with a Phillips head screwdriver or pry bar if you dont plan on reusing the stock hardware. These are located on the back (inside) of the skid plate. 



4. Remove the Factory Skid plate. 


5. With an 18mm Deep socket and 6 inch extension remove the outer two frame horn mounting nuts on the driver and passenger side. 



6. With an 18mm deep socket and flex head ratchet or universal socket remove the inner two frame horn mounting nuts on the driver and passenger side and remove the fog light electrical connector. 



7. Remove Front Bumper 


8. Hammer Down top rail of Frame horn. (Will need larger hammer than Shown in illustration) 


9. Place ARB Stubby Bull Bar Front Bumper onto jeep aligning frame horn mounting holes with mounting holes on ARB Stubby Bull Bar Front Bumper. and insert the provided M10 SEMS bolts with lock Washer, flat washer and flange nut into mounting holes. (Nut should be placed at the front of the jeep. 


10. Using a 14mm Combination Wrench and a Ratchet with a 10ex- tension and a 17mm deep socket tighten down the outer two ARB Stubby Bull Bar Front Bumper mounting bolts by placing the combi- nation wrench on the nut through the hi lift jack hole to hold the nut steady and the Ratchet on the backside to tighten it down. Then switch to a torque wrench and tighten to 44 Nm. 


11. Tighten the inner two mounting bolts on each side in the same way. Dont forget to use a torque wrench to tighten to 44 Nm 


12. (Optional) install running light bracket by placing brackets over mounting holes just inside bull bar of ARB Bumper, and then inserting 13mm bolts and nuts with flat and lock washers on bottom. Tighten with 13mm socket and ratchet. Also torque to 22 Nm. 




13. Install Hi-Lift Jack Point Plugs by pushing in firmly with hand
