Premium Carbon Fiber Hood. The Anderson Composites Type-OE Hood; Carbon Fiber is designed to upgrade the front-end aesthetics and reduce the weight of your Jeep Wrangler JK. It replaces the stock hood with a lightweight, durable component crafted for performance and style, enhancing both vehicle dynamics and visual appeal.
_x000D__x000D_Construction and Appearance. Built through a vacuum infusion process utilizing 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, this hood achieves exceptional stiffness and strength. It features a marine grade gel coat with UV inhibitors that is polished to a high gloss finish, offering superior protection and an appealing high-luster appearance. The carbon fiber hood is bonded to a fiberglass skeleton for added structural support.
_x000D__x000D_Installation. Installation requires minor adjustments for optimal fitment; professional installation is recommended. The hood mounts using original equipment manufacturer mounting hardware, which is not included, and typically does not require drilling. Hood pins are required for safety but are not included. Note that the reinstallation of factory gas struts is not suggested due to the pressure applied to the composite hood. A heat shield is also recommended for proper installation and durability.
_x000D__x000D_Application. Specifically designed to fit 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK models. Note that 2012-2018 models require a windshield nozzle conversion due to differences in nozzle configuration, and this conversion is not included. This product does not fit the JL generation.
