Description
Re-Gear Your Ride. Knowing what your gear ratio is and what it means will help you understand why your Jeep performs the way it does and if you want to change that. The number of a gear ratio is the number of times your driveshaft will rotate in order to get your wheels to rotate one time. The Alloy USA Dana 30F/44R Ring Gear and Pinion Kit w/ Master Overhaul Kit with 4.56 Gears is an excellent gear set for towing or climbing hills. It is also a gear ratio to consider if you have put larger than standard tires on your Jeep and you want to compensate for the increased rolling distance.
Superior to OEM. The gears in this kit are made from high grade 8620 steel and are precision machined and lapped for smooth and quiet operation. The kit comes with a variety of shims to dial in the pinion and all the bearings and seals you will need to overhaul both the front and rear differentials properly.
Installation Notes. Working on your differentials is a straight forward job, however it does require expertise and the proper tools and equipment to do the work properly. If you do not have the tools and equipment or the expertise then it is recommended you take this kit to a certified mechanic to have the work completed.
