Merideth: If you're in search of a bit more throttle response and some better sound for your 2016 or newer 3.5-liter Toyota Tacoma, this Airaid Poweraid Throttle Body Spacer will be a kit to check out. Now, this will do a great job at improving the engine noise when stepping on the throttle offering a sportier feel out of the truck. The spacer will also help you out with low-end torque assisting you a bit off the line when it comes to your throttle response if that's something that you're currently struggling with.Talking about the construction this will have a helix board designed to flow air more efficiently into the intake and will be made of a 6061 T6 billet aluminum for good durability. This will also have a black anodized finish to keep a subtle look inside the engine bay and will include longer bolts as well as a gasket for a very straightforward and a solid install. You also won't have to worry about tuning this when it comes to this spacer. This is just a bolt-on-and-go mode, making it super simple. When it comes to the price, this will be pretty average for a spacer at roughly $175. Now others on the page may have a different design like a perforated valve or a different cut to the bore. Not to mention others will come with different finishes as to where this one is gonna keep a blacked-out look which may appeal more to you if you wanna keep it more on the subtle side. When it comes to the install, this will be a light two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you roughly an hour to get this installed with basic hand tools. However, that's gonna wrap up my review, one of our customers here has actually installed this on their Tacoma and is gonna walk you through a breakdown of what that process looks like, right now.Man: The only tools required were a flat-head screwdriver and a 10-millimeter socket wrench. I've got a 2020 Toyota Tacoma, and today, we're gonna look at the installation of the Airaid throttle body spacer. First, you're gonna disconnect the negative battery terminal.Next, you're going to remove the cold air intake tube. It's important to note that removal of the cold air intake tube will be slightly different in the stock configuration. Next, you wanna remove the actual throttle body. This is a 10-millimeter socket.Next, you wanna install the O-ring into the throttle body spacer. The instructions stated that soapy water can be used as lubricant, but I did not find this necessary. Next, you wanna install the throttle body spacer on the intake manifold, taking care that the O-ring is facing out.Next, you wanna take the four supplied bolts and four supplied washers and secure the throttle body to the intake manifold.Tightening them in an X fashion.Following tightening of the bolts, the next step is to manually cycle the throttle plate to ensure full body motion. Next, we secure the cold air intake tube to the throttle body. The final step is to reconnect the negative battery cable.Merideth: So that is going to wrap it up for my review on the Airaid Poweraid Throttle Body Spacer, fitting all 2016 and newer 3.5-Liter Toyota Tacomas.
