    Description

    Intake. Made from mandrel formed plastic, the Airaid Cold Air Dam intake tube is designed to flow considerably more air than a stock intake tube. And it's been powder coated inside and out, to ensure smooth, turbulent-free airflow.

    Filter Specs. Constructed from two layers of non-oiled synthetic fiber, the Airaid SynthaMax performance air filter offers two stages of filtration. The first layer of needlefelt polyester keeps large bits of dirt and moisture from entering the system, while below that, multiple layers of rayon and polyester filter out smaller particles before they get sucked into the combustion chamber. The Airaid SynthaMax filter is 100% synthetic, and boasts a 99% efficiency rating. You never have to oil, or worry about it wearing out. Simply wash it out every 30-50,000 miles, let it dry, then re-install. It offers the same high-flow rate of a traditional cotton-gauze filter, but without the hassle.

    Additional Features. The Airaid Cold Air Dam combines the latest in high-volume air delivery, with the proven, hassle-free factory air ducting system. A high-flow cotton gauze filter element is located directly over the air passages, which feeds a steady flow of cold air to the engine. This filter placement also keeps out excess dirt and moisture. Plus, the heat shield keeps out engine heat, and seals to the underside of your hood for maximum protection.

    CARB Certified. Best of all, the Airaid Cold Air Dam Intake is 50-state smog legal under Carb EO # D-609-18.

    Application. This Airaid Cold Air Dam Intake with a SynthaMax Dry Filter is specifically designed to fit on the 1997 - 2006 Wrangler TJ equipped with the 4.0 liter engine.
