Description
Stainless Steel Construction. The AFE 1-5/8 in. Twisted Steel Long Tube Header & Y-Pipe - Street Series is the simplest bolt-on install you can do to increase your Jeep's performance. The thick steel long tube headers are crafted from 16-gauge, 1-7/8" mandrel-bent stainless steel tubing. They feature thick CNC laser cut flanges, and are completely MIG-welded for optimal strength and durability. The direct-connect high-flowing Y-pipe is made from 2-1/2" 409 stainless steel tubing and incorporates high-flow 200 cell catalytic converters.
Improved Overall Power. The headers feature optimized tube lengths for true pulse control technology, which improves flow and performance. The headers also have 3-to-1 formed collectors that decrease turbulence and increase exhaust velocity. The Y-pipe utilizes a merge collector to eliminate dead space that can cause turbulence and, consequently, hinder flow. This system will overall add +20 horsepower and +22 lb-ft of torque to your vehicle.
Straightforward Installation. This kit includes all the necessary hardware and parts you'll need for a seamless, bolt-on installation. No modifications are necessary. Installation can be difficult for some, and is approximated to take 3 hours to complete. Although not required, you may want to seek a professional to carry out the install.
