Strengthened Construction. The AFE 1-1/2 in. Twisted Steel Header & Connection Pipe - Race Series will have your Jeep looking and sounding race-ready. This header is constructed from 1-1/2" 14-gauge stainless steel mandrel-bent tubing for unrestricted flow over the OE part. It is completely hand MIG-welded for optimal strength and durability. The 1/2" thick laser-cut head flanges are specifically designed to match the head port for a guaranteed leak-free seal. The connection pipe, constructed of 2-1/2 stainless steel tubing, incorporates a catalytic converter and directly bolts onto the OE exhaust.

Aggressive "Race" Sound. Together, the long-tube header and high-flowing connection pipe replace the extremely restrictive exhaust manifold for a better flow. The smooth curves and increased diameter helps to remove restriction and keeps exhaust gas flowing smoothly on and off the trails. In turn, this results in added exhaust velocity, decreased turbulence, and more power overall. On the dyno, this kit has been tested to add +2 horsepower and +7 lb-ft of torque to your Jeep. The race version of this kit provides a more aggressive sound over the street version.
