Description
The Best of Both Worlds. It used to be that you had to choose between installing a truck bed tool box or a tonneau cover. Not so with the American Work Jr. Tool Box Hard Retractable Tonneau Cover. This component gives you the best of both worlds by combining a retractable tonneau cover and an all-metal tool box. This configuration allows you to keep your tools and other equipment well organized and within reach. The tonneau cover for its part is fully weather-sealed and is load-rated for up to 500 pounds. These factors make the cover more than capable of providing your cargo with protection against everything, from the elements to flying debris.
Hard Retractable Cover with Integrated Tool Box. This tonneau cover and tool box combo utilize a hard retractable design, featuring a metal curtain that rolls into a metal canister. This design allows you to drive with your truck bed completely open without the need for holding the cover in place unlike standard foldable or roll-up tonneau covers. The all-metal curtain also automatically secures every 12 inches, allowing you to expose your bed area in sections for security. The integrated tool box for its part features gas struts, enabling one-handed operation. Best of all, the roll-up curtain is designed to lock automatically when closed and can even be opened while the tailgate is up using the included keys.
Hefty Build Quality. This truck bed Cover;s mounting rails and roll-up curtain are machine-formed from high-quality aluminum alloy with the curtain featuring a double-walled construction. These features give this assembly outstanding durability without the added weight. Additionally, the curtain's canister housing and tool box are similarly machine-formed from galvanized steel, offering superior strength. Rounding out its construction is a tough black powder coat finish for awesome looks and added corrosion protection.
Straightforward Install Procedure. This hard retractable tonneau mounts onto your Gladiator's top bed railing using the included clamp and mounting rail system. You may need to drill access holes through the plastic plugs located on your bulkhead and tailgate area. This is to provide the included drain tubes with an exit point for proper drainage. Besides this step, installation is a relatively straightforward procedure that's completed using just standard hand tools.
