The Thermo Tec Cool-It Mat, measuring 48 inches by 48 inches, provides an effective solution to minimize excessive heat and noise intrusion within various vehicle compartments such as the driver area, firewall, floorboards, doors, hoods, and transmission housings. It enhances comfort by reducing radiant heat and sound transfer, making it ideal for automotive heat management and noise suppression applications.

      Construction and Appearance. This mat consists of resin-bonded silica blanketing insulation sandwiched between a reflective Foil Skrim Kraft (FSK) facing on one side and a foil facing on the other. The FSK layer acts as a strong vapor and radiant barrier, while the foil side distributes penetrating heat across the surface for superior heat protection. The dual-density silica blanketing ensures effective sound-dampening properties. The overall thickness is approximately 1/2 inch.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward and can be done by trimming the mat to the desired size. It can be secured using the provided push-in fasteners or with weather strip adhesive, requiring no drilling or complex modifications.
