Description
For Maximum Off-Roading. The new TeraFlex Front Tera44 Replacement Axle Housing with 5.13 Gears & OEM Locker for 4-6 in. Lift is designed for the most intense off-road experience. Through a careful re-design, typical axle failure points were identified and eliminated resulting in an axle housing that will perform better in real-world situations. The TeraFlex Front Tera44 Replacement Axle is also designed as a direct bolt-on assembly, so no major modifications to your Jeep are required.
The New, Tougher Axle Standard. The TeraFlex Front Tera44 Replacement Axle Housing is constructed using high-grade ductile cast iron, with re-designed, larger housing rib gussets and forged inner knuckles, both of which increase axle housing strength, as well as eliminate axle failure points. The 3.25 in. width axle tubes, with 0. 5 in. thick walls are actually the largest axle tubes you could find. To protect the axle housing against rust, it is then finished in a special UV-treated black powder coat that’s applied in a 3-stage process.
Direct Bolt-On Assembly. The TeraFlex Front Tera44 Replacement Axle Housing is meant as a direct bolt-on assembly that will use the stock outer axle assembly, outer knuckles, axle shafts, and unit bearings, as well as all the brakes and sensors. Major modifications to your Jeep are not necessary but installation requires extensive time and expert-level mechanical knowledge. Installation by a professional is highly recommended.
Requirements and Recommendations. The TeraFlex Front Tera44 Replacement Axle Housing will require adjustable control arms, like the TeraFlex FlexArm for proper caster adjustment. To handle the additional power aftermarket inner axle shafts are also required. Axle U-joints from a 2013 to 2018 Wrangler JK are also mandatory. Lastly, upgrades to the axle stub, axle shaft tube seal, steering, and brake system are recommended to experience what your new axle housing is truly capable of.
