Braking Performance Upgrade for Road and Trail. Upgrade your Wrangler’s braking performance with the SP Performance Rear Pair Peak Series Slotted Rotors with Black Zinc Plating. These rear brake rotors provide the braking power you need to handle both highway and off-road driving better than stock. Specifically, these rear rotors offer improvements in durability, cooling, and brake pad bite while minimizing outgassing, hydroplaning, and brake dust. These factors combine to provide better stopping power no matter where you drive.
Rugged Build Quality. These rotors are cast from high-grade iron to provide maximum durability. The rotors are then machine-formed and precision-balanced before being disc-ground to achieve OEM specifications. Finally, these rotors are finished in a black zinc finish providing exceptional corrosion protection and sleek looks.
Special Peak Slotted Design. These rear rotors feature a special peak slotted design which is a series of bi-directional slots configured to look like a 5-point star radiating from the hub. This design works to prevent brake dust build-up, outgassing, and hydroplaning while ensuring more efficient cooling and brake pad bite. Additionally, these slots’ edges are chamfered to minimize the chances of cracking.
Professional Installation Recommended. These SP Performance rotors utilize your Jeep’s factory rotor locations as mounting points without needing modifications. That said, you will need a disc brake runout gauge for proper installation, which most home garages do not have. You will also need to have your wheels aligned after installation. Consequently, professional installation is recommended.
