Merideth: If you need better access to your cab area and want a heavy duty look in the meantime, these Rough Country Wheel to Wheel Nerf Side Step Bars in black will be a great addition to your 2007 to 2021 CrewMax Tundra. Now, these will be a great pick for anybody who needs a boost up into their cab, with the extra accessibility of a drop step that's going to help you out, especially if you have a lift kit or a leveling kit installed on the truck. Now, not only are they going to give you that additional accessibility, but this is also going to be made of heavy-duty materials, which will provide some good protection to the rocker area, for any daily driving activities or light off-road situations. Now, that will make it great for the Tundra owner who wants that extra accessibility, but also wants to keep some peace of mind, that any kick-up, or lighter off-road obstacles, or door dings in the parking lot is not going to damage the truck. These steps will feature two welded drop steps that will offer a 2.5" by 10.5" stepping surface, and drop down from the upper part of the step, about 2". These will also feature a large tubed upper bar with curved ends on either side, that not only will protect the rocker area, but also give the side of the truck a clean and well fitted appearance. The tubing here will have a 0.084" wall construction, and is made of a corrosion resistant tubing, and will also have a zinc base coat with a top powder coat for additional corrosion resistance, and of course that heavy duty appearance. On each step, this will also include a dimpled stepping surface for extra drainage, to keep some traction there, especially on those wetter days, and also to boast some sporty styling. This set will also come with welded on brackets for a little bit more structural integrity, so you have some peace of mind that these are going to be solid. And it's going to come with all the hardware for a straightforward install. Now, these will come in at roughly $450, being more on the premium side for side steps. Now, when comparing this to other options in the category, I really like that this will keep it minimal when it comes to the styling, with the sleek build, but offers a great balance between protection and accessibility. Now, some other choices may offer a similar drop-down step, but may have a slightly different approach, like a boxy construction or back plating to this part of the step here. Now, I think if you're looking for a side step bar that has a high-quality build, and is right in the middle when it comes to protection and accessibility for your Tundra, then this is a great option. Now, install will be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about an hour to get the job done with some basic hand tools. Now, at this point, we can head over to the shop and check out a detailed breakdown of the install and what that looks like step by step. That's going to wrap it up for me. Let's go ahead and jump into it.Man: Tools used for this install, 3/8 electric gun and a 12-millimeter socket. So the first thing we're going to do is we have to remove our factory running boards. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to bring a jack over, I'm going to jack up on the center of the running board to hold it in place. That way, when I get underneath and I remove the bolts that are holding it in, it's easier to handle the running board. Now, if you have a couple people and you want them to grab each end as you take it off, that will work too. I don't have nobody, so I'm going to use a jack. So I'm going to show you how to remove this running board. So now I'm going to take my jack, get in the center of the running board here, and I'm just going to jack up till it touches, just to put some pressure on it, pretty much just like that. That'll just hold it in place and it won't let it drop. Now we'll get underneath and remove our bolts. So now at the back of the vehicle on our back bracket, we have two 12-millimeters right here. I'm going to take my 12-millimeter socket, with my 3/8 gun, and remove these two here. Now I'm going to go on to the second bracket. So now we're on our second bracket from the rear, just two more 12-millimeters right here. I'm going to take my 12-millimeter socket on my gun and remove these two. And remove the second one here. Now we're going on to our third bracket, two more 12-millimeters. I got my 12-millimeter socket with my gun again. I'm going to get up in here, take these two out. That's one, that's two. Now we're going to remove the last two 12-millimeters right here. Again, we have our running board supported with our jack. So I'm just going to hold on to it just that way it doesn't get around. Take my gun with my 12-millimeter. And I'm just holding on to the running board. And now that we have those removed, we'll lower the jack down and remove the running board. So now we have all our bolts removed, we're just going to lower our jack down, pull it out, and remove our running board. So now we're ready to install our new side step here. So what I'm going to do is, I have it already on a jack. I'm going to take the jack, twist the side step a little bit here, just make it sit in the center. And then we're just going to get it under the vehicle like that. I'm going to lift up a little bit. I'm going to let it go just like that. That way, we'll be able to get underneath, get our bolts started and tighten it up. So now I'm going to start with our back bracket here, back towards the back of the vehicle, take our two 12-millimeter bolts that are supplied in our kit. I'm going to get them started. And I'm going to start at the bottom one here and get that started. And I'm then going to take my 12-millimeter socket on my 3/8 gun. And we're going to run these in. Same with the bottom one.So now we're going to install our two 12-millimeters on our middle bracket here. I'm going to just get them in place and get them started. And that's two. Again, I'm going to take my 12-millimeter socket and my 3/8 gun, run these in. Now we'll go on to our front bracket. So now I'm going to go on to my front bracket here. We have two more 12-millimeters we're going to have to get started here, and get these in place, and get that one started. So I got it semi-started here, what I'm going to do is take my 12-millimeter socket on my ratchet. So I'm just going to tighten them up. So now you're going to just want to repeat this whole install procedure on the opposite side. And that'll wrap up this install. That wraps up this review and install of our Rough Country Wheel to Wheel Nerf Side Step Bars in black, for '07 to '21 Tundra CrewMax. Thanks for watching.
