Description
Switch to High Pinion Gears. There’s a lot to be said about the advantage of high pinion or reverse rotation pinion gears over the standard pinion gears. If you’re looking to upgrade your standard pinion gear, consider the Nitro Gear & Axle Dana 30 Ring Gear and Pinion Kit with a 4.11 gear ratio. This high pinion provides a much better ground clearance that’s a huge plus if you’re an off-roader or looking to lift your Jeep. With a much gradual driveshaft angle, lifting your Jeep will cause minimal stress preserving the service life of your driveshaft.
Harder Steel Alloys. The Nitro Gear & Axle Dana 30 Ring Gear and Pinion Kit is forged from a heat-treated 8620-grade steel. This reinforced metal is capable of larger loads and more demanding performance. With CNC-machined and triple lapped gears, you are ensured the correct backlash and clearances are achieved for optimal rotation.
Speedometer Update Needed. Whenever you change gear ratios, always update the Jeep’s computer. This will prevent inaccurate speed-readings and speeding tickets.
Professional Installation Only. Unless you are an accomplished mechanic with specialized tools, it’s recommended you leave the installation of this ring and pinion gear kit to your trusted mechanic. This not only prevents void warranties, but also component failures.
2-Year Product Warranty. The manufacturer warrants their Nitro Gear & Axle Dana 30 Ring Gear and Pinion Kit to be free from defects such as material and workmanship issues for a period of 2 years. Unfortunately, the warranty does not extend to damages from normal wear, improper lubrication, overloading, etc.
Technical Note. Jeep 4x4s requires matching front and rear gear ratios. Engaging your 4WD with mismatched gear ratios may result in serious damages to your drivetrain components.
