      Description

The Motobilt Jeep TJ / LJ Cage Dash Tie-In Mount is a clean and simple way to tie in the front section of a cage. The mounts are CAD designed and formed to fit tight to the dash allowing the door to close and maximize leg room. They are CNC cut and formed on a hydraulic press brake from 3/16 inch steel plate. They are designed to fit tight to the dash and extend to the floor. The vertical section at the time was built with strength in mind. A dash bar connects the dash tie in plates from the driver to passenger side of the Jeep first. The next step would be to fabricate the A pillars to the dash bar.
Another feature is the additional plate and gusseting at the top section. This plate simply welds to the top to add additional strength. The lower section of the mount is clearance to allow access to the hook for the door catch. Some call this mount a Stanchion mount. This basically means a post.
