Merideth: Hey, guys. So, today, we're checking out the Magnaflow Overland Series Cat-Back Exhaust System, fitting all 2021 and newer 2.3-Liter EcoBoost Broncos. So, if you're in search of a cat-back system that will offer deeper exhaust notes and improve performance for the 2.3-liter while improving your clearance for off-camber situations off-road, this is a great choice. Now, getting right into sound, this will be three out of five on the loudness meter, with one being completely stock and five being wake the neighbors loud. Now this system will offer a mild volume for the Bronco owner looking to stay a little bit more discreet compared to some more aggressive systems while still being able to hear their exhaust and keep a comfortable cab environment with little to no drone. The exhaust will feature a higher tuck design so, even though it's still got a decent amount of piping in a mid-sized muffler on the back, it is designed to tuck closer to the undercarriage increasing your brake-over and departure angles while minimizing any damage to the exhaust. Now, this will also feature some small performance gains with increase in piping size and more direct and smooth airflow for better efficiency, horsepower, and torque for your 2.3-liter. Not to mention that the system will feature a no-drone, tunable technology with a quarter-wave resonator that eliminates all of the unwanted noise in the interior. So, you're able to hold a conversation and keep optimal awareness when driving on and off-road.This will be made of 409 stainless steel mandrel bend piping for smooth airflow. Now, the main piping will be 3 inches in size that leads to the straight-through style muffler before decreasing to a single 2-1/2-inch high clearance side exit which will again assist in rear-end departure angles compared to the factory tailpipe. This will also include factory-style hangers for an OE-style fit and all of the included clamps will make the install happen seamlessly. This will be a premium choice coming in at about $1200 for the entire kit. What I will say about this system compared to others is the attention to detail that Magnaflow puts into this system with the fit and the function. This will give you that intentional volume increase without going over the top, and a high-clearance design without eliminating most of the exhaust that can otherwise change the sound. Now, other high-clearance options on the page will usually be high-tucked systems with minimal components that may not include a resonator to completely eliminate that drone. Now, I think if you're looking for a long-lasting mild exhaust system that will increase your performance for the trail, and put a smile on your face every time you hear it, then this is a great pick.Install will be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about two hours to get the job done with some basic hand tools. Now, at this point, we can head over to the shop and check out a detailed breakdown of the install. That's gonna wrap it up for me. Let's go ahead and jump into it.Man: Tools required for this install include an air gun, an impact gun, an exhaust hanger remover, a 14-millimeter wrench, a swivel adapter, 10, 14, and 15-millimeter sockets. What's up, guys? Today, we're installing an exhaust on our Bronco, so let's get started. So, to remove the axle back portion of our exhaust, we have a clamp with a 15-millimeter nut on it that we'll have to loosen up. As well as a couple of hangers that we'll have to remove. So, we can take a 15-millimeter socket to loosen up our nut on our clamp. Next, we can pop our hanger out of our isolator, using a pair of exhaust hanger removers. And now we can do the same thing on the other side for our other isolator. So now once we have all of our hangers removed, we can pull back on our muffler to remove it. Now once we have the axle back portion of our exhaust removed, we can come up to our flange. We have two 15-millimeter nuts that we need to remove and then two 10-millimeter bolts that hold our hanger. So, now we can take a 15-millimeter socket to remove our two nuts. Next, we can grab a 10-millimeter socket for our two bolts holding in our hanger. Now, lastly, we can remove our hanger that's right above the axle. So, get a hanger removal tool, pop that out. And now we can slide our pipe off of our flange up front. And remove our exhaust pipe.So our first step is to install our front pipe. So, we're gonna grab our hanger that bolts up to our frame and slide that over the edge here. And then we can raise this up to our flex pipe, then we can hand tighten our two 10-millimeter bolts that hold our bracket in place. And then we can thread on our two 15-millimeter nuts for our flange. Now once we have our bolts and nuts hand-threaded we can take a 15-millimeter socket. I,m using a swivel adapter just to make it a little bit easier. And we can tighten down the two nuts on our flange. And then we can switch to our 10-millimeter socket for our two bolts that hold our hanger in.Our next step is to install our extension pipe. So, we're gonna slide one of our 3-inch clamps over the edge. And then we can slide it onto our front pipe. Now got a pole jack here just to balance the weight of the exhaust. We don't put too much pressure on our flex pipe. And now we can take a 15-millimeter socket to tighten down our clamp. Next, we can install an over-axle pipe. So, we'll sneak it up and then get another one of our 3-inch clamps on the edge. And then we can raise that up into our hanger.Next, we can come back to our clamp, get it in position, and tighten it down with our same 15-millimeter socket. So now we'll take our 15-millimeter socket to tighten this down. Next, we can install our muffle inlet pipe. So, we'll take another 3-inch clamp, and then slide that onto our over-axle pipe. And then we can slide our hanger into our isolator. And then we can come back to our clamp and grab our 15-millimeter socket to tighten it down.Next, we can install our muffler. So, we'll take the last of our 3-inch clamps, and slide that over our muffler inlet pipe. And then we can slide our muffler over our pipe and get it up into our hanger. So now we can level out our muffler and tighten down our clamp with our 15-millimeter socket. Now on our back muffler outlet, we have a couple of different options we can do. We have a cap that we can slide over and clamp down. We have a resonator that we can slide over and clamp down. And then we also have a J-pipe that we can slide onto here and put our resonator or we can do the J-pipe with our cap.So, however you do this is up to you. You just have a different sound associated with each one. We're just gonna clamp down our cap. So, now we can take our clamp and slide that onto our cap. We'll slide our cap over, and then we're gonna tighten down our clamp using a 14-millimeter socket and a 14-millimeter wrench. So that'll wrap up this review and install of the Magnaflow Overland Series Cat-Back Exhaust System for your 2021 and newer 2.3-Liter EcoBoost Bronco. Thank you for watching. And for all things Bronco, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.

      Description

Description. The MagnaFlow Ford Bronco Overland Series Cat-Back Performance Exhaust system #19556 is the perfect solution to further improve the off-road utility of your already-capable 2021 Ford Bronco equipped with the 2.3L turbo I-4. This cat-back, direct-fit exhaust kit is designed to install easily and fit perfectly thanks to the hard work of the engineers at MagnaFlow’s Tech Center, who made detailed 3D scans of the entire vehicle in order to ensure perfect fitment. The advantage of such precise tolerances is that the entire performance exhaust system is mounted closer to the undercarriage of the vehicle than the stock system, resulting in significantly improved ground clearance. #19556 also features 3” main piping that leads to a straight-through muffler before terminating in a single 2.5” high-clearance side exit, which further improves the rear departure angle versus the standard tailpipe. The result of this upgrade is improved rock crawling capability and the ability to get out of tricky situations on the trail more easily. This Ford Bronco exhaust system utilizes a tunable NDT (No Drone Technology) quarter-wave resonator to eliminate unwanted noises at cruising speeds en route to your destination, with the added benefit of improving situational awareness when you’re out exploring or camping in the middle of nowhere. Exhaust kit #19556 is engineered to produce MagnaFlow’s deep signature exhaust tone at mild interior and moderate exterior sound levels, ideal for enjoying the character of your engine without scaring Mother Nature away. The exhaust system is built to last thanks to the use of precision CNC robotic manufacturing techniques and durable stainless-steel construction, all backed by MagnaFlow’s limited lifetime warranty.
