Best of all, this protective film performs this task without altering the look of your tailgate’s finish. These factors make this guard ideal if you regularly take your Jeep off-road.
High-Strength Build Quality. This tailgate guard starts out as a sheet of proprietary plastic film featuring a thickness of between 12 to 40 mils, making it significantly thicker than comparable protective films. This construction works to provide superior durability and strength while maintaining flexibility for efficient installation. This component is then precision-cut to stringent measurements for an accurate fit when installed. Rounding out its design is a clear finish that won’t change the look of your tailgate.
Practical Install Procedure. This Lamin-X tailgate guard comes preinstalled with a self-adhesive backing which makes for a practical peel-and-stick install. Due to the size of this component, it’s best to have a helping hand when installing it. Prior to installation, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the mounting surfaces to ensure the total bonding of the film to the mounting surfaces. It is also suggested that you warm-up the mounting surfaces when installing this in cold weather as the adhesive works best in warmer temperatures.
