I currently own my 97 TJ 2.5L manual which I found on the side of the road for sale and it was bone stock and needed a lot of work. I was determined that this Jeep was the one. I started going to Jeep events and made a lot of friends that helped me along the way. I have owned it for approximately 5 years now and have been building it ever since. This Jeep is my dream comes true, and her name is Lizzy. My winch pull strap gave her a “tongue” so we started calling her the red Lizard. Best of all, this Jeep led me to meet the love of my life. I now own a total of 3 Jeeps. A 1995 YJ, my 1997 TJ, and a 2000 WJ. I work on all of them with him and have learned so much. I love to take them off road any chance I get and will continue building them and having fun.

My love for Jeeps started when I was younger. When I was 16, I was a lifeguard at the Jersey shore and they had several YJ jeeps that were used on the beach that I often got to ride in. They were rough to ride in but I was hooked. I have always loved trucks and convertibles and the Jeep is the best of both worlds to me. Everyone riding in a Jeep with the top down always looked like they were having so much fun. I was also fascinated by the modifications done to them that made each one different, especially lift kits and larger tires. I bought my first Jeep new in 1998 as a college graduation gift and fell in love with it. I did some modifications to it such as bumpers and other cosmetic mods but did not know how to do more, despite the fact that I was raised by an automotive technician (he didn’t teach me because he didn’t want me getting hurt). I ended up selling that Jeep but missed it so much I bought another. With my second jeep, I always dreamed of taking it off road and lifting it but did not know where to start and ended up selling it before getting to do anything to it.
