      Video Review & Installation

Hey, guys. So today, we're checking out the In-Channel Ventvisor Window Deflectors for the Front and the Rear in Dark Smoke, fitting all 2020 and newer Gladiator JTs. So if you are a fan of a window deflector or a window visor for your Gladiator, then these are gonna be right up your alley. Now, these will be great for any JT owner who is a fan of just the aesthetic of the window deflectors or if you're looking for the functionality. Now, these will do a great job at protecting you as well as the passengers in the inside of your cab area while the windows are cracked allowing some air in, but it's gonna protect you from the elements like snow or rain whenever you're driving, or this will be great if you don't want any dust or excessive dust, should I say, to come inside your cab area when you're out on the trails and you want a little bit of fresh air inside the cab. Now, these are going to offer an in-channel design. I do really like that. It adds a very sleek look in comparison to some other choices that usually attach to the upper portion of the door there. So if you're not a fan of anything on your paint, if you're looking for a more premium and sleek look, then an in-channel design is right up your alley, and these are going to provide that for you. Now, these will be made of an acrylic material, which is pretty standard across the board, so they will be pretty durable. And these are also gonna have that nice dark smoke appearance. Now, what I like about that is that these are still a little bit translucent, so they will allow light through. They're not going to be completely opaque. Some other choices though will have that choice. So, if you are looking for an all-black option, you're not looking for more of a see-through style window deflector, if that's more up your alley, we do also have those options available, but this is going to still allow some light through but it's going to act as a good barrier. If you do catch the sun in a weird spot and it does come through that specific location, this will add as a nice sunshade. Now, when it comes to pricing, these are also going to be pretty affordable for a full set of deflectors coming in at roughly $100. Now, I personally think that that's a good price because of the construction and the overall functionality. Now, other choices available on the site, like I mentioned, may attach to the paint and they may not have the same appearance that they have here. So they may be in an opaque color or a matte black color instead of the translucent or the dark smoke that you see here. They may have different designs or different shapes to it, the window deflector itself. However, I think if you're looking to keep it simple, straightforward, you're looking for something functional, and you're also looking for something that is going to look good at the same time, then these are going to be right up your alley. Now, when it comes to install, I'm gonna give this a very easy one on the three wrenches on the difficulty meter. No tools required. You are gonna need about 30 minutes worth of your time to get the job done though. So speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.So our first step of this install is just to clean the inside of the channel where we're gonna be attaching our window deflector. We want to make sure that there's no dirt, dust, or anything that's going to mess with the adhesion process. We are provided with some alcohol pads or cleaning pads in the kit so we're just going to rip this open. We'll have one for each window and we can clean on the inside of the channel here.So since we're gonna be working on the front on the driver side, we're gonna grab our front driver-side window deflector. They are going to be side-specific, and we can just peel off this 3M backing. Once that is peeled, we can start to fit this into our channel here.So you may have to bow it a little bit just to get it into place. The front one is going to be a little bit easier than the back one, but then what we can do is fit that into the channel and pull it outward. So we want to make sure that that 3M is sticking to the inside of this channel here. So we're just going to pull it outward. And then to help the adhesion process a little bit more, to put a little bit of pressure on there, I recommend to roll the window up. But the front is now complete, we can head to the back. Now, the back is gonna be the same process, however, because it is in the back, we're not going to have that slant that's going to provide us as much accessibility to the inside of the channel here. So these are also going to be side-specific. So you'll see that on the back part of the window deflector you're not going to have any 3M tape. This is just going to be a little tab here. You are gonna have 3M tape on the back, you're just not going to have it on the front. So what we're gonna do is peel that back as well. Now, I am going to place this in here. We can bow it and then move it up, and then just make sure that, again, you're pulling it forward on the places that have the 3M tape in the front. And then over on this side, we can kind of push it back a little bit.All right. And then again, I recommend to just roll up the window and make sure that everything is secure to help out the adhesion process. And then we can repeat that process on the other side and you'll be all set to go.So that is going to wrap it up for my review and install.
