Hey, guys. So, today we're checking out the Rugged Ridge All-Terrain Door Entry Guards, fitting all 2020 and newer Gladiator JTs. So, if you are looking for some small but affordable mods to add to your Gladiator, if you're looking for a little bit of extra functionality and off-road style, then these are going to be a great choice to take a look into. Now, these will be a great option for any Gladiator owner who is looking for a little bit of extra protection to their doorsill area. A lot of the time because we are constantly in and out of the Jeep, not only you but your passengers as well, that doorsill area can get pretty scuffed up and these are gonna do a great job at preventing any scuffing or any damage to the paint itself. Now, these are also going to be great if you currently have a little nick or some scuffs there already from just getting in and out of the Jeep on a daily basis and you're looking to cover that up, cover up any existing damage and give it a more refreshed look, especially with the off-road styling that we have here. Now, these will be made of a thermoplastic material which is going to be not only very durable for constantly getting in and out of the Jeep and protecting that doorsill area, but these also are gonna be pretty flexible as well. So, when these are installed, they're going to fit very well up against the door sill area and provide a nice, flush fit. Now, not to mention, this is also going to have a threaded design which will not only add some off-road styling but even a little bit of extra traction in those wetter days. Now, what I do really like about this option in particular in comparison to some other choices is that this will not only go on the bottom of the doorsill area, but this is also going to guard the side as well in to meet the interior trim. Now, I personally like that. I think it adds a very finished look and it's going to give you that just extra protection in comparison to some other options. Now, with all that being said, in my personal opinion for what these offer and the overall aesthetic, these are going to be incredibly affordable for what they are coming in at roughly $50. Now, in comparison to some other choices on the page, a lot are just going to be set up a little bit differently. Some other choices may be tailored more towards some extra style to the interior of your Gladiator rather than overall protection as to where I think that this hit both nails on the head very nicely here. So, not only are you getting that extra protection with that little lip on the top, but you also are getting that threaded off-road style. And then there are other options that are made of a stainless-steel material or may have a polished finished and not made of a thermoplastic material like this one is and they may have different designs stamped into them. Comes down to your personal preference in design. I think if you're looking for a very good split between protection and off-road style, then these are going to be right up your alley. Now, as far as install's concerned, I'm gonna give this a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you no longer than five minutes to get the job done. So, speaking of the install, let's jump into that now.The tools that I used for this install were a rag and a water-based cleaner like Windex. So, to kick off this install, we are gonna be starting in the front. Now, our first step is just gonna be to make sure that the doorsill area is completely clean. I'm going to use a water-based cleaner. You can use Windex or anything that's water-based to just make sure that the surface area is clean so nothing is going to mess with the adhesion process, any dirt, dust, any microcontaminants that are on the doorsill that may mess with the 3M Tape. We're just gonna make sure that's clean. So, I'm just going to take the Windex, spray the rag and then we can go ahead and clean it.So again, you just wanna make sure that everything on the doorsill area is clean. I just like to clean a little bit more than where it's going to be. And then you also just wanna make sure that that is dry. And then once everything is all dried up, we can take doorsill guard making sure that we have the correct side and we can peel back the tape or the backing on the tape on the back here. Now, the reason or the way that you're going to tell that it is the correct side, at least for the front, is the curve up at the front here that's going to be facing the front of the Jeep and then you're also going to have a small indent and this is going to be for the fender or the quarter panel bolt up at the front where the door is connected. So, at this point, all we really have to do is just peel back the 3M backing. And you can either fully peel it off or you can just peel off a little tail and then once it's set down, you can just fully peel it off. I personally just like to take the entire backing off. And then once that is off, then we can align it to where we need it making sure that that little cutout is over that bolt there and that this top is lining up. Then we can just give it a good press down. Solid 30 seconds or so or however you see fit. And then once the front is complete, then we can head to the rear.So just like the front, it's gonna be the same process for the rear. First, we're just going to make sure that this is clean. As you can tell, there's a bunch of gunk on here. And we don't want that to mess with our 3M tape. So, we're just gonna make sure that that is clean and that it is dry as well. Then we can take our doorsill guard. There is going to be a slight, more aggressive curve, I guess I should say, in the front. It is a little bit hard to tell which one is which when it comes to the back doors, but if you just give it a good placement test, the correct side is going to fit a lot more flush and a lot better. So, that is going to be with the curve towards the front of the Gladiator. Then we can just peel this backing off. Once that's off, we can just align that with our doorsill. Give it a good press down. We'll be all good to go. And once you close the door, this is gonna help out with the adhesion process as well making sure that it is sealed so that it should last a very long time. But once you have the front and the back done on the passenger's side, you can repeat the same process on the driver's side. Then you'll be all set to go.So that is going to wrap it up for my review and install. Make sure you like and subscribe for more videos and products just like this.
