Description

Hawk Performance HPS 5.0 Brake Pads deliver high friction and torque at all temperatures, reducing stopping distances. The brake pedal feels smooth and sure from initial pressure through the life of the stroke, giving you full confidence and control.
Construction and Finish. Where there are brakes, there is friction. Where there's friction, there is heat, and where there is a certain amount of heat, you get a reduction in performance, also known as brake fade. Hawk Performance HPS 5.0 Brake Pads are composed of a ferro-carbon compound capable of handling the high temperatures generated in aggressive driving.
No Muss, No Fuss. Brake dust is a natural consequence of the brake pads grinding against the cast iron bake rotor. It's unsightly and unhealthy to breathe. Hawk Performance HPS 5.0 Brake Pads produce less dust than original factory brakes, and they are also less noisy and gentle on rotors.
Installation. Installing Hawk Perfomance HPS 5.0 Brake Pads takes finesse over brute force. If you take installation on yourself, you'll need basic hand tools and a set of calipers, sandpaper, soap and water. The job can be done in about two hours.
Warranty. Hawk Performance HPS 5.0 Brake Pads are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship.
Application. Hawk Brake Pads are designed to fit all models of 1987-1989 Jeep Wrangler YJ models.
