Description
High-Performance Race Muffler. The Flowmaster Outlaw Series Center/Center Shorty Race Muffler with 3-inch inlet and 3-inch outlet is engineered specifically for racing applications requiring maximum horsepower and torque. It delivers aggressive sound characteristics with minimal decibel reduction, ideal where mufflers are mandated but sound limits are not strictly enforced.
Construction and Appearance. Constructed from fully welded 16-gauge aluminized steel, this muffler features a round case design that fits easily into tight spaces. It is finished with a high-temperature paint for durability under the extreme heat and conditions of racing environments.
Installation. This muffler is designed for universal fitment but may require some adaptation. It uses slip-fit inlet and outlet connections suitable for clamp-on or weld-on installation methods. New hangers are necessary but not included.
Application and Fitment. Intended for use on classic and late model muscle cars as well as race vehicles, this muffler is directional and non-reversible due to internal rings angled toward the outlet. The product offers a universal fit; some modifications may be needed to ensure proper installation.
