Description
Universal Bumper Hitch. The Westin or DMI bumper mounted trailer hitch provides a sturdy receiver mount directly on the vehicle’s bumper, enabling secure connection of ball mounts, cargo carriers, bike racks, or other hitch-mounted accessories. It is designed to improve towing by giving a lower hitch point for level trailer pull, making it ideal for various towing applications requiring up to 5,000 lbs. gross trailer weight.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted with durable materials and finished with a high-gloss black powder coat, this hitch features a rust-resistant liquid A-coat for extended corrosion protection. It comes with an open-back receiver design for easier cleaning and maintenance, ensuring both longevity and reliable performance.
Installation. Installation is straightforward, involving bolting the hitch onto the bottom of the vehicle’s step bumper without the need for custom modifications or drilling. This facilitates a secure and precise fit with mounting holes spaced 10-1/2" on-center.
Warranty. The product includes a limited lifetime warranty covering one year for finish and parts.
Application. Designed for universal fitment with Westin and DMI bumpers, some adaptation may be required. It is important to note this hitch is not compatible with vertical hanging bicycle racks that mount bikes in a vertical position.
