Merideth: Hey, guys? Today, we're checking out the Borla Climber S-Type Cat-Back Exhaust with the Turn Down Tip, fitting all 2021 and newer 2.3-Liter Broncos. Now, this will be a great addition to your Bronco if you're in search of some more aggressive exhaust notes and some added clearance for your off-roading adventures. Now, when it comes to the loudness meter, I'm gonna give this a three out of five, with one being completely stuck and five being a wake the neighbors loud. This will offer more of a mild volume increase, but really deepen the tone of the 2.3-liter if you want more of an aggressive presence out of the truck while keeping a very comfortable cab environment with little to no drone. This will feature a high tuck turn down tip, keeping the exhaust system high and tight to increase departure angles and minimize any damage to the system itself, compared to the factory one which would have otherwise gotten in the way. Not to mention if you are looking for some better performance out of your 2.3-liter, this will offer some small horsepower torque and efficiency gains, as you can ensure that this is not only gonna give you some good sound and better clearance, but also a little bit of a performance boost. This will feature 2-3/4-inch mandrel bend T304-stainless steel, as far as the construction is concerned, which will offer smooth and direct airflow, but also optimal rust resistance. Now, the S-type muffler will also deliver a good amount of those aggressive notes out of the exhaust while eliminating that drone. Now, the hangers will also have a factory-like build for more of an OE fit, and this will include all of the clamps and hardware needed for a straightforward install. When it comes to price, this will be more of a premium option for a turn down-style kit, coming in at roughly $800. Now, when comparing this to other choices, this will be made of a high-quality material. It's not gonna be over the top when it comes to volume, and it is going to stay high and tight and out of the way. Now, other high clearance systems may be made of a 409 stainless or an aluminized steel, which is a little bit closer to factory. They may have a smaller size piping or will deliver a different volume level, either more or less volume than this choice here as to where this is gonna be right in the middle. Now, additionally, some may not reach all the way to the back of the truck, they may stop midway, which may offer a little bit more interior noise as to where this is gonna go past the axle and, of course, deliver no drone at all. Now, overall, I think if you've got the extra couple of bucks to spend on a quality high-clearance system, for good sound and good performance, then this is the one to take a look at.Install will be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about two hours to get the job done with some basic hand tools. At this point, we can head over to the shop and check out a detailed breakdown of the install, and what that looks like step by step. So, that's gonna wrap it up for me. Let's go ahead and get into it.Man: Tools required for this install include an air gun, an impact gun, an exhaust hanger remover, a swivel adapter, and a 10 and 15-millimeter socket. What's up, guys? Today we're installing an exhaust on our Bronco. So let's get started. So to remove the axle back portion of our exhaust, we have a clamp with a 15-millimeter nut on it that we'll have to loosen up, as well as a couple of hangers that we'll have to remove. So, we can take a 15-millimeter socket to loosen up our nut on our clamp. Next, we can pop our hanger out of our isolator using a pair of exhaust hanger removers. And now we can do the same thing on the other side for our other isolators. And now once we have all of our hangers removed, we can pull back on our muffler to remove it. Now, once we have the axle back portion of our exhaust removed, we can come up to our flange. We have two 15-millimeter nuts that we need to remove, and then two 10-millimeter bolts that hold our hanger. So now we can take a 15-millimeter socket to remove our two nuts. Next, we can grab a 10-millimeter socket for our two bolts holding in our hanger. Now, lastly, we can remove our hanger that's right above the axle. So, get a hanger removal tool, pop that out, and now we can slide our pipe off of our flange up-front and remove our exhaust pipe. So, our first step is to install our front pipe.So we're gonna take our hanger that was mounted to the frame and slide that over our rod. And then we can slide that into place, and connect our front pipe to our flange. Now, once we have everything in place, we can take our two 10-millimeter bolts and thread those through our hanger. And then we can take our 10-millimeter socket to tighten those down. And then we can reinstall our two 15-millimeter nuts on our flange. And then we'll take our 15-millimeter socket to tighten down our nuts. So, our next step is to install our muffler. So, we'll grab one of our clamps and slide that over the edge. And then we can slide our muffler onto our front pipe. So, now I've got a pole jack here supporting the weight of the muffler, so we don't put it onto the flex pipe. And then we can slide our clamp into place and tighten that down with a 15-millimeter socket.Next, we can install our extension pipe onto our muffler outlet. And then we can take our clamp and slide that into place. And then we'll tighten that down with our same 15-millimeter socket. Next, we can install our over axle pipe, so we'll slide another one of our clamps over our pipe, and then we can put it over our axle, connect it to our extension pipe, and then we can connect it up into our hanger. And next, we can come back to our clamp, and tighten that down with a 15-millimeter socket. And now lastly, we can install our turn down. So, we'll get another clamp and slide that over our pipe. And then we can slide our turn down into place. And then we'll tighten down our clamp with a 15-millimeter socket. And now we can go back and tighten down our clamp with a 15-millimeter socket. So that'll wrap up this review and install of the Borla Climber S-Type Cat-Back Exhaust with Turn Down Tip, for your 2021 and newer 2.3-Liter EcoBoost Bronco. Thank you for watching. And for all things Bronco, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
