Merideth: If you have a hard top and you're looking for an affordable way to maximize your storage, this Barricade Two-Bar Removable Roof Rack will be a great pick for your 2020 or newer JT Gladiator. Now, the truck itself does not have a ton of interior storage, and the bed storage can get a bit tricky, especially if you already have cargo in the back, where you want to keep that area clear. Now, adding a rack to your JT is one of the best ways to make sure that you have everything that you need for your adventures, while keeping your bed open. This kit will include two heavy duty cross bars, and allow different style mounts to be added for whatever cargo you may have. This also will offer a more user-friendly clamp design, that's simple to take the rack on and off whenever you need to, with no modification involved. These will be made of a durable steel construction, with a black powder coat finish, which will protect the seal underneath from rusting from the elements, and match with any other heavy-duty accessories. Now, this will also be incredibly low profile, as far as the system is concerned, which will offer a sleek look to the top. Now, they'll clamp on the drip rails on the side, offering a solid mounting solution, and will come with padding for the mounts to make sure that the hard top stays in mint condition. And again, are super easy to remove, just by loosening up the clamp on either side, making this very convenient. This kit will roughly be $300. And I think that the price fits well for what this is. Now, other options will usually consist of racks similar to this, with a slightly different style. Now, for example, this is very low profile and sleek as well. Some other options may come up a little bit higher. Then there are roof rack baskets and platforms that may not offer the ability to mount up multiple attachments or lay larger items flat compared to this option. And may cost a little bit more because they are a little bit larger than this two-bar system here. Now, if you really are just looking for an easy and a simple solution to mounting up any larger cargo on top of your JT, then this is it. This will be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter when it comes to install, taking about 30 minutes to get the job done, with some basic hand tools. Now, at this point, we can head over to the shop and check out a detailed breakdown of the install and what that looks like. So that's going to wrap it up for me. Let's go ahead and jump into it.Man: Tools required for this install include, a ratchet, a 17-millimeter wrench, and a 17-millimeter socket. What's up, guys. Today we're going to be installing a roof rack on our Gladiator. So let's get started. Now, our first step is to assemble our brackets. So we have our longer bracket here, we've got a nice piece of metal sticking up in the middle. And then on our other side, we have a spot here to go around this piece. So we're going to put the circular piece in between these two pieces of metal, and then slide this down. And now on the other side, we have our hole exposed here, so we're going to be taking our black flat washer and our concave washer. And then we'll thread our adjustment device in between those. And then we can thread this into that hole. And now we'll just do that same thing for our other three brackets. So now with all of our brackets assembled, we can start to mount them to our bars. Now, we're going to be doing that with a bolt, a locking washer, one of our silver flat washers. And then we're going to put this through the hole in the bracket, and the bar, and on the bottom side of the bar. We'll get another of our silver flat washers and a nut. Now, we're going to want to leave this loose for now, because we do have some left to right adjustment that we can adjust once we get it on the roof, and then we can tighten everything down once it's installed. And now once we have one bar fully assembled, we're going to repeat the same process for the other bar. Now, our next step is to mount these felt pads where we're going to be mounting our roof rack. That way we protect the hard top and don't scratch it up. So we've got these laid out in the position on all four corners where we want to mount these. So then we can just peel back this adhesive and stick that down. Now we're going to stick it to our lip here first, fold it into the screw, and press it down. And then we'll repeat that same process for our other three. So now to install our roof rack, we're going to lift it up over the roof. The straight part of the bracket is going to go down into this channel, while the hooked part of the bracket is going to go underneath the channel. So now would be a good time to grab yourself a buddy so that you can lift up, put it into the channel on one side, while your buddy puts it into the channel on the other side. So now with your buddy's help, we can lower this into the channel. And then this bottom L bracket shaped piece is going to go underneath the channel, and it'll lock in like that. So now that we have our roof rack in place, we can lift up on our bottom bracket and start to spin our adjuster screw. And then once you have it nice and tight, we can lock that into place. Now, once we have our bar locked into place, we can go ahead and tighten down our bolt. So it's going to be a 17-millimeter socket and a 17-millimeter wrench. Now we can do that same thing on this side. And then once we've fully installed this bar, we can do the same thing on the rear bar.Woman: So that's going to wrap it up for my review and the install of this Barricade Two-Bar Removable Roof Rack, fitting all 2020 or newer Gladiator JTs.
