Hey guys, Eric with Extreme Terrain. Today we're checking out these Barricade Rectangular Adventure Mirrors for all 2020 and later Jeep Gladiators. Now, you should really be checking these out if you like rolling around in your gladiator without the doors on, and you want to stay street-legal. Now, most states and jurisdictions require you have rear-facing mirrors on your vehicle at all times. So obviously, you're taking the doors off, the mirrors go with it. These large rectangular mirrors not only will help you stay street-legal, but I like the design of 'em. The large rectangle is kind of a throwback to older Jeeps like the CJ Series that came like this from the factory. Now, the other nice thing about this design is the large rectangle here gives you a larger viewing angle to see behind your truck as you're going down the road. Some other mirrors like the smaller circular ones don't give you as good a view out the back. The other nice thing is that Barricade has really improved their design. Some of the earlier feedback that Barricade received about this design is that they would fold back at higher speeds. But as you can see, it's on there really tight. I'm wiggling it, and it's not really giving any. So once you tighten up the bolt down here, it's gonna stay firmly in place. Now, as far as price goes, guys, these come in right around $75, or maybe a little bit less than that. That makes 'em very affordable compared to a lot of other aftermarket mirrors out there that are gonna help you stay street-legal when you take the doors off. Now, as far as the install goes, it's very basic, one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. Budget about an hour at most to get these installed. The longest part of getting these installed is taking the doors off your Jeep. So if you're doing that anyway, a few more minutes to get the mirrors on themselves, no big deal. And as far as removing them, it's very easy. And if you're at the campground, you can take these out, hold it up, and use it when you're shaving. It's a nice option, as well. All right. So let's take a look at the tools you're gonna need, and I'll show you how to get these installed. All right, guys. Tools you're gonna see in this install include a quarter-inch drive socket wrench, 1/2-inch and 9/16-inch sockets. We're gonna use the wrench from the Jeep kit, a T50 Torx bit, and a trim removal tool. All right, guys, to get started, we're gonna have to remove our door here. And first off, we're gonna take out the two T50 Torx bit screws right here and here, and then we can go to the inside and disconnect the wiring harness connection for the door. All right, we're simply just going to use the tool that comes with your Jeep, and again, it's a T50.All right, guys. Then we're gonna remove this cover, pull it straight back. There are two lock or pinch clips in there. And then we need to disconnect the wiring harness here. We need to push up on this little lock tab, the thread, and then pull this out. It might be a little stiff if you've never disconnected this before. That. Unplug, and then this simply slides up off of the post. Now we're ready to lift away our door. All right. Now get a T40 Torx bit for this bolt right here. All right, guys. So go ahead and lift the door up off the hinge and carry it away. All right, guys. First, we're just gonna grab the rod here and put it in the top hinge. Grab the lock washer and nut from the kit. Just kind of snug that up. I got the mirror here, bolts. And to tighten it down, you're gonna need a 1/2-inch socket. All right. Now, to tighten this one up, you're gonna need a 9/16-inch socket. All right. So go ahead and repeat everything we just showed you here on the driver's side. Installation on the passenger side is the same. So that pretty much wraps up this review and install of these Barricade Rectangular Adventure Mirrors for all 2020 and later Jeep Gladiators. And of course for all things Gladiator, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
