Premium Tie Rod Assembly. The Apex Chassis 2.5-Ton Tie Rod Assembly for Dana 44; black anodized aluminum is a comprehensive upgrade designed to replace the original tie rod components on your Jeep Gladiator JT and Wrangler JL. This assembly improves steering precision and durability by integrating forged steel ends with a lightweight adjustable aluminum tie rod, ensuring reliable performance during off-road and daily driving conditions.
Construction and Appearance. The assembly features a solid SAE 1045 forged steel housing with CNC machining for exact dimensional accuracy. Ball studs consist of SAE 4140 chromoly steel with advanced induction heat treatment and rolled threads for superior strength and longevity. It is finished with a black anodized aluminum adjusting sleeve and e-coated steel tie rod ends, combining durability with a sleek matte black appearance.
Installation. Installation is straightforward for experienced automotive technicians and requires no drilling. The kit includes all necessary hardware except the steering stabilizer bracket, which must be purchased separately. Clear instructions are provided, making it a dependable upgrade for steering components.
