Both basket sizes are made from a high-strength plastic that’s durable and designed for years of use, so the Roof Basket won’t rust, chip or corrode like metal roof carriers. The WeatherTech Roof Basket has been tested to hold up to 175 lbs. of cargo; the roof rack itself weighs 25–35 lbs. Please respect the maximum load provided by your vehicle manufacturer when loading.
Roof Basket is crash tested by an Independent Testing Lab in the U.S. and passed the ISO 11154 standard for roof racks. Always use caution and common sense when installing and using your WeatherTech Roof Basket.
