Description
Reflective Heat Barrier. The Heat Screen GOLD; 36-Inch x 40-Inch is designed to solve heat intrusion problems from engines and exhaust systems into vehicle interiors and sensitive components. It provides a durable protective layer that reflects heat, helping to maintain cooler air intakes and cabin areas to enhance performance and comfort.
Construction and Appearance. This heat screen is made using a high temperature metalized polyimide lamination adhered to a robust 20oz heat treated glass fiber base. The composite material offers excellent thermal resistance with a thickness of .031 inches and an ability to withstand radiant heat up to 1100°F, presenting a smooth, metalized reflective surface.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and can be accomplished using mechanical fasteners or a specialized high temperature adhesive. Minor drilling may be required depending on mounting location and method.
Application. This product fits universally but may require some adaptation for specific installations. It is important not to apply the material directly on exhaust components due to heat tolerance limitations.
