      Description

      Extreme Heat Barrier. The Form-A-Shield; 42-Inch x 48-Inch is designed to provide direct contact protection against extreme heat sources, particularly on automotive exhaust components. It dramatically reduces radiant exhaust temperatures when applied to headers, manifolds, turbo housings, and downpipes, offering crucial under-hood heat management. This helps maintain component performance and safety in high-temperature environments.

      Construction and Appearance. The shield is constructed from a 10 mil dimpled aluminum face laminated to a high-temperature basalt-based thermal barrier, providing superior heat insulation and durability. The material is pliable for easy shaping around complex contours and is resistant to oil and chemical spills, making it well-suited for harsh engine bay conditions. The surface has a metallic finish with a textured dimple pattern for added strength and heat dissipation.

      Installation. Installation is straightforward with no adhesive backing, allowing it to be fastened using straps, clamps, or locking ties for a secure fit. The shield conforms easily to various shapes, and no drilling is typically required unless fastening to secure mounting points.
