Heat Barrier Solution. The Floor and Tunnel Shield II; 42-Inch x 48-Inch; Black effectively blocks engine and exhaust heat from penetrating interiors and damaging components. This product is designed for thermal protection in automotive applications, providing a flexible, black finish that conforms to various vehicle surfaces such as firewalls, transmission tunnels, and floors.
Construction and Appearance. This shield features a durable embossed 10 mil aluminum face bonded to a 1/8-inch composite glass-fiber core, finished with a proprietary high-temperature black coating. The backing utilizes a high-temperature, pressure-sensitive adhesive that ensures longevity and resistance to wind and water, maintaining adhesion up to 450°F.
Installation. Installation is straightforward due to the peel-and-stick adhesive backing, requiring no drilling or complex mounting procedures. The product's flexibility allows for easy shaping and trimming to fit various surfaces.
Application. Designed with a universal fit that may require some adaptation, this product must not be applied directly to exhaust components to prevent damage or failure.
