Merideth: Keeping your factory seats looking brand new can be quite the challenge with kids, pets, or even just taking your JT off-road, but these RedRock Custom-Fit Front and Rear Seat Covers in Black will be a great pick to keep some peace of mind for your 2020 or newer Gladiator. Now, this set will be a solid solution to protecting your front and rear seats from any spills, mud, dirt, or whatever else could get to your factory fabrics, or will offer a stylish cover-up to any imperfections that may already be there. Now, these will also be very comfortable with a padded neoprene material while maintaining a tight fit for an upholstery of appearance rather than some other tactical seat covers that won't fully cover the seat. And these are also going to have reinforced seams on the end for optimal durability, giving them a long lifespan in your JT.And I also like the fact that this is going to come with a bunch of attachments underneath the seat, making sure, again, that those are gonna give a tight fit. You're gonna get multiple buckles and straps as well as some hooks and bungees, again, giving it a tight fit to the seat cover. Now, you're also getting a little bit of storage on the back of the front seat cover here. As you can see, there's a pocket for any smaller items that you wanna store inside your cab area, kind of upping that storage space that kind of is a little bit scarce inside the Gladiator. Now, you also won't have to worry about the seat covers fading with the top-off considering that these are UV-protected and the covers have a water-resistant polyester shell to leak water away better than most fabrics. Now, I would like to mention that this will offer two versions for the rear seats with and without the seat armrest. So, I would just double-check your setup before pulling the trigger on a set of these. Now, with that being said, these will come in at roughly $275, which is pretty average for a full set of high-quality seat covers. What I like about this choice compared to some others is the very form-fit design and the full coverage that you're being offered here. Now, some other less expensive choices may not fully cover every inch of your factory fabrics, or there is gonna be a difference in material that may not have as much of a fitted look as these will. Not to mention, these will have a completely blacked-out appearance as to where some other choices for neoprene covers may have small details like red stitching or branding that may not fit your personal style preference. Overall, though, if you are in search of a solid set of black seat covers that will offer stylish protection for your 2020 or newer Gladiator, then these are going to be it. Now, install, as you can imagine, will be very easy at a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about 30 minutes to get the job done with no tools at all. At this point, I'm gonna hand you over to one of our guys in the shop that's gonna walk you through that process step by step. That wraps it up for me. Let's get into the install.Man: What is up? Today, we have a set of seat covers that we're gonna show you how to install in our '20 Gladiator. So, let's get started. To start off, we're gonna move the seat forward and adjust the backrest so we can take the headrest off and slip the backrest cover on. And to remove the headrest, there's buttons on either side. Two tabs right here. You have to push them both in at the same time and lift up on the headrest. So, we're working on the passenger side seat, so make sure you have the passenger side cover. You'll know you have the right one with the pocket in the back and the airbag cut out facing the outside. Once you have it positioned properly, release the Velcro, and then drape it over the backrest. Also, make sure the holes are lined up for your headrest. Now, from the back of the seat, if we reach our hand under, we can feel two elastic straps that are holding the factory cover on. So, we're gonna remove those elastic straps. So, once those are removed, we're gonna lift this up and fold it underneath our aftermarket cover.Next, we're moving back to the front of the seat. Now we're gonna take the front flap of our seat cover and slide it through our seat into the back. To the back of the seat, again, we're gonna pull that front flap all the way through, and then we're gonna put our factory cover back down in between the seat cover and the seat itself and attach the Velcro. Now we got the seat base cover, and if you flip it over, you see that it has two straps. We're gonna disconnect those. And the back ones are gonna slide through the seat. And then we're gonna bring them back around to the front in order to reconnect them to the straps in the front. Now, while we're here, let's go ahead and release the hooks all the way to the end of the straps to make it easier to pull to the front. Now we're gonna pull the back straps all the way through, connect them to the front straps, and then pull them tight. Now there's two elastic bands on either side of the seat cover to hold the sides of the cover in place. So, what we're gonna do is pull these down. And we're gonna feed them through the seat rail and the seat, and then attach them to those hooks that the factory elastic bands were holding in the back on our factory seat cover. And I know this is kind of hard to see on camera if you can see it at all. But if you take a peak underneath your seat, you should see a white clip or a white hook where those factory elastic bands were holding the factory seat cover. So, that's what you're attaching these to. And then on the other side, I just tucked that hook and elastic band through the center console in between the center console and the seat and hooked it to the factory hook on the other side. For the headrest, we're gonna take a look at our cover. And you can see that there's more stitching on the front side than there is on the back. So, we're gonna put the detail to the front of the headrest. Once you got it slid on and lined up to your liking, pull the loops down, make sure they're in the correct position around the two posts, and fasten the Velcro down. Then we can put this back into our seat. And that's the install process for the passenger seat covers. For the driver seat covers, follow the same exact steps.Moving on to the passenger rear seat, we're gonna take the bigger of the two rear covers and we're just gonna unzip this and take off and then release all the Velcro in order to slip it over our back seat here. One quick note, make sure you pass the cover under the seat belt so that you don't cover it up. Once we've got the cover opened up all the way, don't forget to slide it under the seat belt first. Now, pull the seat down and put the headrest through the holes. Pull it down and get it lined up as much as you can from this position. You can also set it all the way down and pull it down some more. But you're probably gonna have to switch over to the other side in order to reach the seat cover and get it cinched all the way down, which I'm gonna do now, and then I'll be back to show you the rest of the step. All right. Now that I switched positions, moved around, got the seat cover cinched down as good as I can at this point, now we're gonna strap the Velcros around the headrest, zip this up, and then fold the seat up and push the front flap through the seat. And when zippering this up, it makes it a little easier if you stick the Velcro to the bottom of the seat. It gives you that tension to make it easier to zip this up. Let's pull the Velcro through the headrest, and secure these in place. All right. Now we're gonna lift the seat up and push that front flap through the seat. Just moving the seat belt out of the way to make it a little easier. Now we're gonna put the seat back down and fasten the Velcro strap in the back. Now, locate that flap that we pushed through, pull it all the way through, get the seat cover nice and tight. Then lift your Velcro up and tuck the flap underneath. All right. At this point, I would lift the seat up, check it, make sure it's nice and snug, and lined up the way you like it, and adjust it as necessary. Now, let's grab our seat cover bottom. We're gonna flip it over, unhook all the straps so that we can slide them through the seat bottom and the seat backrest. When you're sliding these straps and hooks through, just be mindful of the location of, like, the child, the baby seat hooks here, anchors, and also the seat belts. Make sure you just go around everything appropriately. And you also have a couple of bungees here in the center that I didn't mention before. These are gonna slide through the seatbelt hole here. And then we also have two bungees over here, not just one. All right. Once everything is slid into place from this position, we're gonna pull the seat down, pull it the rest of the way through. All right. So, at this point, we're actually gonna lift the seat base up to pull the straps through. You might have to adjust the hooks in order to attach and then re-tighten. And you can actually put your other hand in the back of the seat just to feel where it's at. Make sure it's lined up properly as you're tightening these down. All right. We're also gonna secure this strap that goes across the seat, as well as these elastic straps. We're just gonna hook them right up here by where the hooks of our cinch straps are. All right. Now I'm gonna put it down, take a look at it, adjust it as necessary. Make sure it's lined up aesthetically pleasing and how I want it. So, I'm covering these holes a little bit. So, I'm actually gonna pull it forward towards the front just a little bit.All right. So, for these two elastic bands here, I had to kind of search and figure out, you know, take a look, take a peek on where these end up, but when you slide them through right here behind the seat belt, there's a little gap in the seat. So, slide the two elastic bands through that hole right there so you have this elastic band on this side and one on the other. Slide it through that gap. You can lift your seat back up and you can see that they'll come through right here. So, they'll come through right here. And then I just pulled them up and cinched them tight to my cinch straps here. So, I pulled the longer one up, strapped there. And the shorter one I pulled out and put right here. All right. Now we've got the headrest. And just like the front, you can take a look here and see that there's more stitching on the front than there is in the back. So, we're gonna keep the detail to the front pretty much the same process. And these back headrests do have holes in them for the button that's here on the side in order to adjust the headrest up and down. So, it just makes sure you have the proper side. You can slide it over top, slip the Velcro through, then we're gonna pull the seat down and fasten the Velcro to the back. Next, the center headrest cover slides over like this. Now, if you look at this cover, the way to put this one on is if you look at the stitching, we got the rounded edge of the stitching up top, and then the more straight line stitching at the bottom. And this one just simply slides over the headrest. And that's gonna be the install process for the rear passenger's seat. And for the rear driver's side seat, you're just gonna follow the same exact steps. That's gonna wrap up this review and install of the RedRock Custom-Fit Front and Rear Seat Covers in Black, for the '20 and newer Gladiator JT. Thank you for watching. And for all things Gladiator, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
