Now, this will allow the beautiful views and open cab feel to the Gladiator, if you're one to take off the freedom panels frequently, and just can't all the time due to the weather. Now also, how cool would it be just to watch the rain, or the snow, above you while you're sitting in the driver's seat? Now this will allow you to do that while staying safe and warm inside the Jeep.This top will feature a slightly tinted, yet transparent build, which will match very well with the channels on the factory top, giving it a very finished look. Now, speaking of the factory look, this will also have a factory feel on the inside, with the latches that will mount up to the footman loops in the back of the hard top, just like your factory freedom panels. Now, I personally think that this is a great addition to the Jeep, in comparison to the factory panels, that can be bulky and hard to store, especially in the back of the Jeep, while only being limited to the nice days to take them off.This top will be made of a military-grade polycarbonate construction, being shatterproof and durable, while allowing all of that sunshine through. Now this will also be UV-filtering, so even though the light will pass through this, you will be protected, and your interior will be protected from harmful UV rays, and will slow down any heat buildup in the cab. Now, you also won't have to worry about this in any inclement weather. Being completely sealed on the side, it is going to come with these foam door surrounds, and that'll make sure that you're protected in any circumstance.Now, with such a unique product like this, you will be looking at a premium price point at around the $1,500 mark. Now what I will say is that there's really nothing like this out there that's going to allow you that sunlight through, offer the rigidity of a hard top, and will keep you protected from the elements all at the same time. Now, you have bikini tops that are great for sun protection, or soft top sun rider features that you can easily open and shut again, but with this, you don't have to do anything besides enjoy the views and the sunlight. Now overall, I think if you're in search of a top that you don't really have to compromise for, and you have the extra couple of bucks to do it, then this is a great choice.Now, install is very straightforward. It basically comes preassembled right out of the box, so I'm gonna give this a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you about 10 minutes to get the job done. At this point, we can head over to the shop and check out a detailed breakdown of the install. So, that's gonna wrap it up for me, let's go ahead and jump into it.Man: What's up, guys? Today, we're gonna be installing a Freedom Style top on our Gladiator. This is a no tools required install, so let's get started. So, now coming inside the truck, we can start to remove our roof panels. Now, each one is held in with four clips. The one behind the mirror, we're just gonna pull down. The other three, we're gonna twist. And then we can pop our panel off. So now, with all of our latches undone inside the car, we can lift up, and remove our roof panel. And then we can do that same thing on the other side.Now, before we start to install our new roof panel, we have to install our spacers. Now, they're labeled with DS for driver side, and PS for passenger side. The skinnier end is gonna go towards the front of the truck, while the thicker end is gonna go towards the rear. Now, these will just lay into place, just like that, and then we'll put the other side on as well. Now, with both of our foam spacers installed on both sides, now would be a good time to grab yourself a buddy. The two panels are being replaced by one panel, so grab a buddy to help you lift it over, and then we can start getting our clamps situated.So now. I want you to grab your buddy, it's time to lift your roof up onto the Jeep. Now, once we have our top installed onto the truck, we can take our screws. These are gonna go through these two holes in our roll bar and up into the top to secure it down. And then we can do that same thing on the other side. Now, coming back inside the truck, we can secure our three latches here. These two are gonna twist, and this one we're just gonna push into place. And then we'll do the same thing for the other three.So that will wrap up this review and install of the ClearLidz Panoramic Freedom Style Top for your 2020, and newer Jeep Gladiator, JT.
