There isn’t a bigger name in braking than Brembo, and for good reason – born out an Italian enterprise that soon supplied Ferrari and Formula 1 racers back in the Sixties, Brembo today makes powerful, precision manufactured brake kits that include plenty of Brembo Jeep Wrangler parts. The company makes front and rear brake kits
for the Wrangler in both 6-piston and 4-piston configurations, with an array of different cross-drilled, slotted, and drilled and slotted rotors. The calipers on Brembo brakes are made from premium aerospace grade aluminum and finished in various bright colors which provide a festive look gleaming out from between the dark spokes of a modern aftermarket wheel. The rotors are generally monoblock designs whose interior channels let them shed heat fast and efficiently, which prevents brake fade (which is caused by heated gases forming on the surface of the rotor when it reaches a critical temperature). The slotting and cross-drilling is also precisely positioned to help remove brake dust, debris, and water from the rotor surface, ensuring lots of pad bite every time you step on the brake pedal. While Jeep Wranglers are far from high speed race vehicles, you’ll find these brake rotors immensely useful anyway, improving braking distance, brake force, and efficiency – great for wheeling in hill country or anywhere else you need a lot of control.
