This aerospace grade of aluminum is very durable as well as lightweight, and is immune to oxidation. The textured black powder-coat finish is applied mostly to hide dirt or minor cosmetic flaws such as scuffs, scrapes, or scratches. The step pads are made from polypropylene that resist long-term wear and tear.
