It features a wide-open inlet tube, which lets in larger volumes of cleaner, cooler air to deliver huge boosts in torque and horsepower. The improved airflow also helps make your truck more responsive and fuel efficient. Meanwhile, the Cold Air Dams block the hot air coming from the engine bay. This lets even more air to flow into the engine.
Doesn’t Require Tuning. This air intake system is designed to work with your truck’s original tune. Nonetheless, it’s advisable to have your truck custom-tuned to make sure that everything will work perfectly. This is especially important if you have multiple upgrades to your vehicle.
SynthaFlow Cotton and Non-Woven Synthetic Filter. This cold air intake features a SynthaFlow cotton gauze and non-woven synthetic oiled filter. It’s 360-degree and cone-shaped design offer superior filtration compared to traditional paper filters. What’s more, this oiled filter is designed to be washable and reusable. With its long lifespan, you’ll be able to save on maintenance and replacement costs.
High-Density Polyethylene Inlet Tube. Airaid used high-density polyethylene or HDPE for the inlet tube of this cold air intake system. HDPE is known for its high strength-to-density ratio, as well as its heat resistance that can reach up to 248°F. In addition, using HDPE means there’s no concern at all when it comes to corrosion. To make your engine even cooler, the inlet tube is protected by Airaid Cold Air Dams. These block the hot engine bay air and ensure that cool and clean air can easily flow into the engine.
Simple Bolt-On Installation. This cold air intake system is designed for an easy bolt-on installation to your vehicle. All you need are the recommended hand tools indicated in the manual and the enclosed mounting hardware. The installation will take about 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on your experience.
