It features a large inlet tube for better airflow so that your engine can receive cooler, cleaner air. This results in more power and better performance, not to mention enhanced throttle response and fuel economy. Moreover, this air intake system features a rotational molded air box that keeps the intake air cool by separating it from the engine bay air.
No Tuning Required. Airaid ensured that this air intake will work even without a custom tune. Nonetheless, it’s advisable to get your truck tuned after installing this air intake. A custom tune will make sure that all upgrades will work as intended.
SynthaMax Non-Woven Synthetic Oil-Free Filter. This cold air intake has a SynthaMax non-woven synthetic dry filter. It has a 360-degree, conical structure that offers superior, less restrictive filtration compared to paper filters. This dry filter is also washable and reusable, making it a more practical choice for your budget and the environment.
High-Density Polyethylene Inlet Tube. For a durable, yet lightweight air inlet tube for this cold air intake, Airaid used high-density polyethylene or HDPE. This material has an exceptional strength-to-density ratio, as well as excellent heat resistance of up to 248°F. You can also count on its rust and corrosion resistance since it’s purely plastic. Meanwhile, the rotationally molded air box helps keep the intake air cooler for longer by isolating it from the hot air coming from the engine compartment.
Easy Bolt-On Installation. Airaid engineered this air intake for a quick and easy bolt-on installation. All the hardware you need is already enclosed, and the required equipment are simple hand tools. You can accomplish the entire installation in about 45 minutes.
