SynthaMax Dry Synthetic Air Filter. This cold air intake system features a red SynthaMax dry synthetic air filter. This 360-degree conical filter is less restrictive and offers better filtration than paper ones. As such, the air will be much cooler and cleaner. Moreover, this filter doesn’t need any oil and can be washed and reused multiple time. This results in greater cost savings.
High-Density Polyethylene Inlet Tube. The inlet tube of this cold air intake is made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). HDPE has a high strength-to-density ratio and also has an impressive heat resistance of up to 248°F. In addition, corrosion is one less thing to worry about with this durable plastic tube. Finally, the inlet tube is protected by Airaid’s Cold Air Dam panels. They block hot air from the engine bay and let in a constant flow of clean and cool air.
