This applique is designed to break-up the rather monotonous look of your tailgate by adding a sculpted form that complements its overall style. Additionally, this tailgate applique’s durable construction makes it tough enough to prevent minor impact damage to your tailgate.
Durable Build Quality. This tailgate applique is constructed from premium ABS plastic, offering superior durability and resistance to deterioration without the added weight. Moreover, this applique is made using a specialized machine-forming process and precise measurements of your tailgate to ensure an exact fit when installed. Finally, this component features a sleek satin black finish that looks awesome on its own but can be painted to match your truck’s body color.
Efficient Install Procedure. This tailgate applique features automotive-grade, double-sided adhesive tape on its mounting side, making installation an efficient peel-and-stick process. Before installation, it is suggested you thoroughly clean and dry the mounting areas before applying the included adhesion promoter. This is to encourage complete adhesion of the applique to your tailgate. What’s more when mounting this component in cold weather to first warm-up the mounting surfaces to about 60 degrees Fahrenheit as the adhesive works best on warmer surfaces. You can accomplish this with a hairdryer or heat gun. Finally, if you’re going to paint this component, do so before installing to ensure efficiency.
