Expect more power and better fuel efficiency with these new diesel engines. VM Motori started supplying Chrysler in 1992 with diesels for European vehicles. Today, VM Motori powers several European Chrysler and Jeeps, as well as the Chevrolet Captiva. The new Maserati Levante is reportedly to use a modified version of the VM 3.0L diesel. Looks like good this to come with the new Grand Cherokee. I can only hope this engine finds its way into a Wrangler.
