Description

Simple Installation. Start by removing the old hinges; you’ll need a power drill and bits that fit the screws. Keep the tailgate closed while doing that. Put the mounting bolts into the new hinge, position it correctly, and then screw on the bolts. Throughout the installation, the tailgate should be closed. You open it only when all bolts are in place.
Application. These Jeep Wrangler Tailgate Hinges are engineered to fit all Wranglers made from 1997-2006. That includes both two- and four-door models.
Technical Note. Depending on the Wrangler model you have, some light drilling might be necessary. After removing the old hinges, clean the space where they fit. The dirt and debris there might prevent you from securing the hinges. But don’t tighten all the bolts until you position and secure both hinges. Inspect if the tailgate opens and closes without any resistance.
